Last weekend, I spent a day in Appleton and the other in New Berlin for the Cheesehead Challenge. Today, I'd like to highlight a handful of players from the weekend and a few more throughout the week before we update the rankings content at some point during the week.

[player_tooltip player_id='892249' first='Morgan' last='Mocadlo']

I thought Mocadlo played the best that I've ever seen her play. In the first half of the game I watched, she got some favorable matchups on the perimeter and attacked off the dribble. She did an excellent job creating shots against a talented group of 2027s. Mocadlo did her best work against a team that was older than her, and she looked comfortable playing an up-tempo pace.

[player_tooltip player_id='874583' first='Bronte' last='Hulberg']

The Pardeeville native was a player I was eager to watch this AAU season, and I thought that she played well yesterday afternoon. Hulberg is a wing with solid size and creates off the dribble. Hulberg is a mismatch for anyone who defends her because she's physical enough to handle herself around the basket and play through contact, but she has the skill to create shots off the dribble and score at all three levels.

[player_tooltip player_id='1231611' first='Taylor' last='Walter']

I had never seen Walter play before, but I was pleasantly surprised by what the Wilmot forward brought to the floor on Sunday morning. The first thing that stood out was her size. She's about a 6'2 forward who did a solid job of playing around the basket. Walter has some touch around the basket and solid enough hands to rebound around the basket and rebound on both ends of the floor. There is room to grow for Walter, and she may not have the most impressive season for her high school team because there isn't much guard talent to help her maximize what she can do around the basket, but any small school looking for size in 2026, should take a look at her before the AAU season wraps up.

[player_tooltip player_id='889690' first='Mylee' last='Redman']

The Laconia guard has been an impressive player all summer with her [program_tooltip program_id='713038' first='Wisconsin' last='Blaze'] team. Like Mocadlo, Redman did an excellent job attacking off the dribble against a talented 2027 group on Saturday. I saw flashes of what she could be as a creative presence, and she was a kid who stood out when her team went on a run to start that game. She's been a consistent offensive threat, and I think she could have a breakout season at Laconia.
