I was able to catch some action at this year's DMV Live event on Friday at Bullis. Here are a few of the players who caught my attention.

Cidney Stanfield, Shipley, 2028, Guard/Wing

Cidney was all over the court in the game I watched. She has a nose for the ball and came up with several rebounds and loose balls. She has good range out to the three-point line and finished strong at the basket. She boxed out really well and I like her communication on defense.

Giavanna Cosby, Shipley, 2029, Power Forward

Giavanna is super long at 6'3" and showed some nice footwork and shot making in the paint. She was a match up nightmare for the opponent as she moved well without the ball. She played strong defense in the paint.

Melody Vaughn, Shipley, 2029, Guard

Super quick and athletic guard with a nice step back jumper. She attacked close outs really well and finished in the paint through contact and over bigger players.

[player_tooltip player_id='834729' first='Jameela' last='James'], St. Mary's Ryken, 2026, Center

This was my first time seeing Jameela with her new school. She has legit size at 6'5" and showed some versatility in her game. She was dominant on defense, contesting and blocking shots in the paint, and she also showed good footwork and the ability to guard on the perimeter. Offensively she's a bit raw, but she moves with confidence and made some shots. She even stepped out and fired away from the three point line. A D1 program will snatch her up.

[player_tooltip player_id='925644' first='Charli' last='Blandford'], Good Counsel, 2028, Guard

Charli is one of the top guards in her class and she showed off her potential at this event. She was a beast in transition, putting constant pressure on the defense with her speed and ability to finish at the rim. She has strong ball handling skills and plays excellent on ball defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='943392' first='Pandora' last='Nah'], Good Counsel, 2027, Guard

Explosive athlete with excellent contact balance and footwork. She has good upper body strength and plays off two feet a lot. She's a tough cover in the paint due to her ability to elevate over defenders.

Mackenzie Smith, Good Counsel, 2029, Guard

MacKenzie served notice that she will be a problem on day one. The sensational Freshman is a strong two way player and showed off how dangerous she is in transition.

Bailey Perkins, Agnes Irwin, 2029, Center

Bailey is a strong and powerful post player with an excellent touch around the basket. I really love her face up game though. She was knocking down mid range jumpers all day.

[player_tooltip player_id='433841' first='Alexandra' last='Vandiver'], St. Mary's, 2026, Wing

If you drop 42 points in a gym full of college coaches you're going to get a mention. A Love was in a zone most ballers don't ever get to enter. I can feel the offers rolling in.
