Exciting College Opportunities for Young Athletes

I am excited as the month of July hits because a ton of our young ladies will be walking away with collegiate opportunities. I told you I was a fan of all kids and to see their hard work, the fruits of their labor, come to fruition, makes me, as well as others, proud. This is going to be an exciting time, and I can't wait.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Prospects. That's what we have. That's what we talk about. Young ladies who will be building blocks, contributors, and workhorses for programs at the next level. They will be on display next month, and the excitement just exudes throughout my body. One by one, court by court, kids will have the opportunity to catch the eyes of collegiate coaches. Some already have, but here is the opportunity to do even more. I know this is a big moment, but stay grounded and be where your feet are.</li> <!-- /wp:list-item --> <!-- wp:list-item --> <li>Control what you can control. Play with tons of energy and effort.</li> <!-- /wp:list-item --> <!-- wp:list-item --> <li>Communicate and talk. Be loud. Give it all you've got every time you step onto the floor.</li> <!-- /wp:list-item --> <!-- wp:list-item --> <li>Run your own race. Everyone's journey will be different. Her game has evolved, and not only is she dominating the low block area, but she is stepping out and exploiting other areas on the floor as well. She's physical, has a nice bag of moves down low, and she puts the ball in the hole, which matters the most. Defensively, she blocks shots, controls the boards, and is a space-eater as she establishes her presence. Someone who brings physicality to the floor. She's a mobile stretch forward that can shoot it from the arc, but also pound it down low in the painted area. She is active on both ends of the floor. Sure, she grabs boards, but her athletic ability allows her to switch onto guards and match speed for speed. This kid is writing her own ticket, and she proves herself time and time again as she steps on the floor. Coaches always walk away impressed with what they have seen. Now is the time when she will cash in and see all her hard work pay off. This kid is electric as she can score and facilitate the rock. From knocking it down from 3 or getting to the rim, whenever the ball is in this kid's hands, something good tends to follow. She has amazing court vision and just competes. She's a grinder that gets after it on both ends of the floor. Don't let the size fool you, she plays the game in a mighty way. Blessed with size, this kid is ready to showcase her skills for all to see. She has put in a lot of work over the course of these past months, and her time is now as she is about to have a breakthrough. A skillful player who can exploit the interior at the high post and low block areas. Along with scoring the basketball, she is a solid defender who can block shots and grab boards consistently. She's gained a ton of confidence, and her presence on the floor doesn't go unnoticed. This talented BA is going to be primed and ready to compete against other kids from across the country. For starters, this kid is physical. Establishing her presence on the low blocks, she is going to go through the opposition. She is great in the screen game, where she rolls and finishes, but also fades and knocks down the mid-range. She has added a 3-ball game to her arsenal, so don't be surprised if she makes her fair share of attempts. She can handle the rock and will push it in transition.
