The FABC came around and it delivered. Prospects from all areas of the State delivered. we hilighted numerous prospects, and some players we may have only glimpsed. Some players flashed their skills in quick bursts, some caught or attention with hustle plays, and some flew under the radar and a second glimpse warranted a mention. In this article, we look at some of the extra notes and under the radar moments that transpired at the FABC Showcase.

[player_tooltip player_id='741323' first='Nylah' last='Brooks'] (Pictured #10) was impressive with her ability to push the brealk and make great passes in transition and in offensive sets. Court vision and pinpoint passing define Brooks's game. The young point guard is a player to watch and she will be instrumental to the success of Booker T Washington.

[player_tooltip player_id='1245797' first='Mariah' last='Cox'] was another guard who caught our attention at the FABC. Last season she averaged 3.5 steals per game and right at 8 points per game. She has good ball handling skills and the ability to get downhill to the rim.

[player_tooltip player_id='1259953' first='Rileigh' last='Smith'] (Pictured below #5 turned a few heads with her speed and her ability to knock down the three point shot and the mid-range. Smith also defended on the ball very well. She really has a good defense IQ and she executed a slide through on the pick and roll to perfection.

[player_tooltip player_id='1257558' first='Anabelle' last='Shackelford'] (Pictured below #5) was another impressive guard I noticed at the Showcase. Shackelford played with a ton of energy and was a downhill player to the rim. Shackelford had a very impressive jump shot that looked like money every time it left her hand. She runs off of picks very well and sets up nice for her three point shot. Over the past few years the versatile guard has averaged 25 threes.

[player_tooltip player_id='823458' first='Ellie' last='Vogelsang'] really played well the few times i saw her. The young guard plays with loads of confidence and she provides Providence with a confident guard running show when Loux is at the two position. Vovelsang has good speed and does a good job of handling the ball and beating the defense down the court. She has good passing ability.

[player_tooltip player_id='221599' first='Caelyn' last='Carter'] played well at the FABC Showcase. One thing Carter can do is put the ball in the basket from anywhere on the court. One play that comes to mind - she hit a game winning three pointer in overtime and helped her team go unblemished with a 4 - 0 record at the showcase. Carter showcased quickness, athleticism and an ability to defend in transition. The young guard not only defended well in transition, but she was surprisingly physical when going for the steal. Carter was a standout three point shooter as a Freshman and was respectable as a Sophomore. She will bring an additional three point shooter to the ballgame and help take the pressure off of Presley and Freeman on the offensive end.

[player_tooltip player_id='1235172' first='Morgan' last='Campbell'] showcased skill at the FABC. She can pull up with the jumper or get in the middle of the paint and score. Campbell also showed quickness and speed. She is a play maker destined to make things happen.

[player_tooltip player_id='1217157' first='Myanna' last='Hatchette'] made some nice plays and really is an elite player on her team. Hatchett moves well without the ball and sees the court very well. She makes timely buckets and can also get to the rim. Hatchette produced all Spring and her production and performance at the FABC showcase was just a continuation of her standout play. Hatchett is that prospect who thrives in all areas of the game: the open court, half court sets and on the defensive end.

[player_tooltip player_id='1136118' first='Reah' last='Saunders'] (pictured below)is just a special player. I watched one game she played in and the young 8th grader was the most productive player on the floor. Saunders excels in the uptempo environment. It's where you see her instincts , basketball IQ, and her advanced skill set. It's getting to the point that Saunder's play is not a surprise but the expectation. She definitely excelled at the FABC Showcase and once again gave a glimpse of what the future holds for this talented player and her team.
