The past few days I locked in and studied some Spring film of prospect from around the Midwest. Here are my unfiltered, fast-hand, live notes that I took about each player while watching.

Thanks for tuning in and enjoy!

[player_tooltip player_id='897256' first='Emerson' last='Johnson'] - 2029 - Elkhorn South High School (NE)

"Freshman starter in the Elkhorn South system. I know their Varsity roster and Johnson is good enough to start or to be the first off the bench as a Freshman. Her length, strides, ability to adapt close to the basket, and touch on the ball is impressive for her mixture of size and age. She demonstrates impressive situational awareness and she is only going to get better with time. Her versatile ability on the outside is impressive and I can't wait to see more this Winter."

[player_tooltip player_id='985178' first='Ruby' last='Heinert'] - 2028 - Millard South High School (NE)

"The amount that [player_tooltip player_id='985178' first='Ruby' last='Heinert'] cuts off of the ball for back-door layups is noteworthy and honestly shocking. It's a lost art. Every game Heinert see's the back of their matchups head and then she is gone towards the hoop for a WIDE OPEN bucket. This is someone that also crashed the boards hard, that is willing to get physical, and she is willing to move into space to help her offense in a number of different ways. (Which seems to work in her favor for a ton of back-door chances.)"

[player_tooltip player_id='1108474' first='Tatum' last='Sauer'] - 2029 - Lake Mills High School (IA)

"I expect to hear a lot about [player_tooltip player_id='1108474' first='Tatum' last='Sauer'] at Lake Mill High School over the next four years at the Varsity level. Sauer, little sister of Cora, is going to be a thorough scoring threat over her career. She is a prospect out of the 2029 Class that has great size, a natural skill on the floor, and a willingness to get play-style. She seems hungry and motivated every time she is on the floor. That's not thecse with all players. It doesn't take much to make her lock in and feast against any average opponent. It'll be fun to see how things go to start off. We will just have to wait and see how it plays."

[player_tooltip player_id='1143194' first='Sira' last='Doumbia'] - 2027 - CR Jefferson High School (IA)

"When you have tall and physical players from a young age, they have a chance to be something special. You know how it goes, you can't teach someone to be taller. Someone who has great height and a very high ceiling moving forward is [player_tooltip player_id='1143194' first='Sira' last='Doumbia'] of CR - Jeff High School. Doumbia comes in at around 6'3 with great muscle mass to pair along with it. She is slowly learning the game. It's going to be a process but the foundation is there. Literally and metaphorically."

[player_tooltip player_id='667440' first='Dylan' last='Peterson'] - 2026 - Waukee NW (IA)

"All you can do as a player is to make the most of your opportunities. Someone who has done that this Spring is [player_tooltip player_id='667440' first='Dylan' last='Peterson']. Peterson is a SG that plays off the ball and does some good things on the floor for her team. It doesn't matter if she is rebounding, attacking the basket, defending, or diving on the ground for a loose ball - she is always giving 100% effort and that's a skill that not everyone possesses. If you need a plug and play prospect at the next level, this could be a good fit for you."
