Threes and energy best described watching Gascon on Saturday morning. She was the tip of a spear for a sharpshooting win for her team. Covers ground well on defense as quick trapper, leading to transition points for herself and teammates. Plays with the requisite energy smaller guards need to thrive at the next level. Something that college coaches seem to agree with. As Gascon has added offers from Tabor and Sterling.

Two write ups at one event? When a player goes off like Van Gilder does for a second straight day, then she deserves to be spotlighted again. She capped off a 4-0 weekend for her squad by going off in their final game. With the defining moment came with back to back threes in less than 20 seconds. Complete with good natured trash talking and the swagger a smaller guard needs to show to thrive. Shooters who string together threes quickly are always worth tracking and the 918 sharpshooter is proving she is one.

The top of the scouting report for Schwerdtfeger will likely always revolve around her shooting ability. Which was prominently on display this weekend, with a variety of makes from deep spot ups to snatching ankles and hitting off the dribble. But it wasn't just her shooting ability that caught the eye. She split the ballhandler responsibilities and had some good assists to the skilled forwards she plays with.

Then another important aspect for the future Lady Riverhawk, determined defense. Had a clutch moment with back to back steal and scores in the fourth against an out of state shoe company team. Then throughout the weekend, she was making hustle plays to contest shots in transition or getting onto the floor for loose balls. It's hard to pinpoint a weakness in her game, especially with her smooth shooting.

It's fun to see out of state talent. Especially when after going through notes, looking up the prospect and realize how elite an prospect is. Lee helped her squad win a close battle against an Oklahoma squad. And in this case the highly touted recruited did it by hitting at least three pointers, often from college range or deeper. Along with her shooting ability, she's a quick and active athlete. Who looked the part in her movements of a future high major player.

Was a bright spot for the Attack in a tough Sunday close out game. Had to deal with waves of pressure in an up tempo game. She punched back by slipping free with tight handles, shaking off dogged defense. Which don't give her much space, because she can pull from deep. Or sneak into mid-range and hit there. Has the look of a skilled lead guard, who can fill it up off the dribble.

Freshman who already has range from 25+ feet plus. Once her feet are set and she's in shooting motion, it's too late for defenders to close out. Having a super power like floor spacing shooting from college range is a great foundation for a young prospect like Garcia.
