It is summer in the Dakotas and PGHD is looking back at the spring to talk about improved ballers.

As a basketball fan, rube, and enthusiast, I always want to know who has improved their game. That is what we are looking at today! We have ballers who improved during the spring club season and players that we should keep an eye on this summer.

PGHD wanted to give shout-outs to players who improved, worked hard, and put in the time to better themselves. We are expecting a productive summer from these players.

See below for baller comments...

[player_tooltip player_id='1048389' first='Addyson' last='Gust'] (2028) |6'0 G| Shanley/SSA ND 15U Black

Addyson is a gifted athlete with the ability to take over a game offensively. She was a little hesitant this spring to pull the trigger from the outside or attack the basket, but that quickly changed. In the last few tournaments, she has not been hesitant at all & she is showing what she's capable of doing on the court. Gust has a well-rounded game with the ability to shoot from the outside and also finish at the rim. Addyson is a super versatile defender. She usually gets matched up with the other team's best offensive player, regardless if their a post or a guard. Gust is a two-way baller.

[player_tooltip player_id='935279' first='Betsy' last='Huber'] (2027) |6'0 F| EKM/[program_tooltip program_id='712708' first='ND' last='Attack']

Huber really looked to be more aggressive on the offensive side of things this past weekend. She had many impressive post moves near the basket and stretched her game by hitting a few key 3-pointers as well. She has worked on her shot and it is improving. Huber needs to be guarded on the outside, she has good court vision, and is a very willing passer, too unselfish most of the time. She is also a hard worker and an excellent teammate! Betsy has unlimited potential and is athletic as they come! I expect a huge year from Betsy this next winter.

[player_tooltip player_id='832308' first='Jordyn' last='Kohn'] (2027) |5'5 G| Lemmon/[program_tooltip program_id='712708' first='ND' last='Attack']

Jordyn is a talented PG who really improved her defensive presence. She is a relentless on-ball defender and did a good job this past weekend of finding the right spot to get defensive rebounds. She is a superb floor general who finds the open person. Kohn has non-stop energy and has improved her physical strength, which helps her score on drives while absorbing contact. Jordyn is quick and she uses a change of pace along with court vision to change the game. She is also tough with her pull-up and floater game. On D, she defends the length of the court and makes life miserable for opposing guards. PGHD admires Kohn's approach to the game!

[player_tooltip player_id='1172427' first='Kesia' last='Boeshans'] (2028) |6'2 C/PF| Washburn/ SSA ND 15U Black

She has been really working hard on her offensive game. Boeshans already had the ability to dominate the game down low, but she is also a good shooter from 15ft & beyond. Boeshans was a little hesitant to shoot from the outside early on but she has shot well. Seeing her outside game develop this spring has been fun to watch! Kesia also plays impressive defense. She is a game-changer with her rim & paint protection.

[player_tooltip player_id='760534' first='Kinley' last='Bartsch'] (2027) |5'8 G| Minot/Impact

I have heard reports that she has played very well this spring and is receiving interest from the D2 level. She grew up a ton this last winter with Fricke out. Kinley is a talented from beyond the arc and shoots a high percentage. She has also shown a high-quality mid-range jumper and ability to get downhill this spring. We expect her to be an All-WDA player this coming season.

Madison Taylor (2029) |5'11 F| MOC-Floyd Valley/TEAM Warwick 14U

Taylor has improved a ton over the last few months. Her hard work and dedication to gym time is showing out. Madison's confidence is on the rise and she has been a productive and positive playmaker for TEAM Warwick.

[player_tooltip player_id='764171' first='Madyson' last='Prevail'] (2027) |5'4 G| Sioux City West/SSA SD 16U White

Madyson's ability to handle the ball effectively with both hands has improved. Along with her ability to be a playmaker at the basket with either hand. Prevail also has a quality pull-up jump shot and a sweet floater. Prevail's confidence level has really upgraded because of the investment she has put in ther game.
