#1 Pleasant Grove

The Vikings have been making waves this summer as they picked up a fleet of new faces. It all starts with [player_tooltip player_id='873276' first='Sutton' last='Villa'], who is an absolute presence in the paint. Her secret power is a high percentage free-throw shooter. Then you add the Sikander Sisters. Janice is one of the best floor generals in the state and then you add [player_tooltip player_id='875195' first='Aaliyah' last='Sikander'] who is starting to get on the floor and do her thing. Then you at times forget that they have D1 and UVU commit Tabi Clark who is a tough player to stop. This team is just getting started but you can see the ceiling that this team has. They have a few more new names that could be game changers as well. Csh Connors provides additional size that they seem to have more than enough of.

#2 West

Kaylee Falatea is as good as advertised. Look for Falatea to lead the state in scoring at over 20 PPG. She is very tough and skilled, whoever icks her up is going to get a bargain at the LM level. West has some size too in Tiana Fa and [player_tooltip player_id='796805' first='Laite' last='Latu']. Players that will likely step up are Tia Panand [player_tooltip player_id='847893' first='Jaida' last='Lavatai']. West could make another run at it. They showed how tough they are at Section 7.

#3 Bountiful

Bountiful has another strong team coming back. They have a few players that could lightthe scoreboard up and Malika Satuala is one of them. Satuala is one of those complete players that could defend and play on the offensive side and not miss a beat. She will be a stat stuffer this coming season. [player_tooltip player_id='856279' first='Adelaide' last='Stevenson'] and [player_tooltip player_id='827404' first='Maleah' last='Nelson'] will be among some of the players that will pick up the scoring slack for sure.

#4 Fremont

Fremont could be the sleeper team in this classification now as they will have a player that is super tough to stop and that is Abby Christensen. The very skilled 6'2 G has been showing why she is so effective, her consistent play and just smooth shooting and finishes will be something to watch in 5A. [player_tooltip player_id='827419' first='Olivia' last='Surrage'] has been adding to her offensive game which could help her inside and out in the perimeter. A player that could have a breakout year will be Maya Jenson as her size and post presence could be used to take advantage of their height.

#5 Wasatch

Wasatch has a very new look and they will be relying on two players this coming season. [player_tooltip player_id='796470' first='Mahala' last='Speardon'] and Dani Garner. Speardon has done a great job adding to her game as she is shooting the ball a lot better. Garner has also expanded her game and she has a soft touch around the rim and she can get up and down the floor.

#6 Alta

Alta has a few pieces that could make them a sleeper team moving forward. The addition of [player_tooltip player_id='789082' first='Olivia' last='Stephens'] has really helped their already solid backcourt. [player_tooltip player_id='796802' first='Alia' last='Baldassano'] now has help bringing the ball up and they add another player that can shoot the ball. [player_tooltip player_id='952618' first='Meg' last='Rawson'] and [player_tooltip player_id='927416' first='Sophia' last='Ceballos'] alos provide solid scoring options.

#7 Springville

This team could be a sleeper team as they have a deep bench and they also have length out on the perimeter with their guards. [player_tooltip player_id='1255454' first='Sami' last='DeLlamas'] is solid and has some length that can get up and down the floor. [player_tooltip player_id='866707' first='Bella' last='Esplin'] has been a player I have enjoyed watching, she will be a bigger producer this coming season. [player_tooltip player_id='827413' first='Hattie' last='Templeman'] has looked much improved this summer as well.

#8 Maple Mountain

[player_tooltip player_id='825009' first='Leah' last='Bailey'] and [player_tooltip player_id='796806' first='Ashlynn' last='Lainhart'] are back and they will be a tough duo. Maple Mountain could be among the teams that could knock off some of the teams at the top. [player_tooltip player_id='796850' first='Shay' last='Brown'] and Autumn Jones also come back and their top scorers could use that chemistry that they have been building to their advantage. Do not count this team out, they are built to make a deep run this season.

#9 Payson

Patson had a great year last season and they make the jump to 5A. They will need [player_tooltip player_id='879702' first='Emmy' last='Hales'] to take her game to the next level as she had a fantastic season averaging over 10 PPG and doing it all over the floor. Payson has a physical style of play that will help them in 5A. Halle Anderson is a good guard that could impact their jump to 5A.

#10 Clearfield

Izzy Wyaskett and [player_tooltip player_id='805802' first='Ciara' last='De La O'] look to make a push into the playoffs this season and hope for a deep run. These two guards are tough and both have shifty games and can score the ball. [player_tooltip player_id='796883' first='Brighton' last='Bernards'] will be a much improved prospect for Clearfield and they could sneak up on some teams that do not do their homework.
