I felt like Shelby had a really nice showing for Concord in the time I was able to see her. She has a strong/solid frame, she plays with some shiftiness to her game, and she has a nice handle. She sees the floor, finds open teammates, plus she can get downhill and absorb contact or knock down open rhythm jumpers. She should have a lot of appeal for small colleges because of her ability to play both on and off the ball effectively.

Emma hasn't seen much Varsity in her career, but by the looks of it, she could take on an important role heading into her Senior season. She has a big, powerful frame, with some length as well. She likes to seek contact and bury defenders on the block. She has solid hands & developing footwork, plus she appears to have an array of post moves she is working on. As her game continues to expand, look for her to appeal to several small colleges.

I first saw Ally during the state tournament, and she definitely adds a lot of intrigue to the court. She is extremely long and wiry, she has some end-to-end speed, and she plays hard. She doesn't mind contact around the block, but it would be advantageous for her to absorb contact much better. Occasionally, she'll show some mid-post skill, and she does a really nice job already of rotating from "help" defensively to block/alter shots.

I was able to catch Morgan during the Winter, and she is a nice power forward prospect who does a little of everything. First, she has a solid/strong frame, she's fairly athletic in most directions, and she plays with a motor. She likes to seek contact, rebound, and defend, but she's also versatile offensively. She is best in the mid-post with her 15-foot jumper, but Morgan can also put it on the floor 3-4 dribbles and get to the rim from the perimeter.

Hannah is one of the best all-around guards in Indiana's 2027 class. She has an athletic frame, good strength, and she's a solid athlete in most directions. She earned a reputation early on because of her ability to shoot the basketball, but she does so much more now with it in her hands. She can create off the dribble for herself or teammates, and I think her vision might be her most underappreciated quality. She is also a competitor defensively.

Starfire fans will recognize Ana's last name, as her father is the all-time scoring leader for them on the boys' side. Ana is a long, athletic wing who does a nice job in the mid-post and around the perimeter. She can handle it a little and knock down an open rhythm jumper outside, plus she can attack from there. In the mid-post, she's strong enough to absorb contact, plus she is an effortful rebounder/defender who contributes in many ways.

I wrote about Jada following a PGH tournament a couple of weeks back, and she looked equally as effective Friday with her school team. She has the chance to work herself into some Varsity minutes if she can continue to understand situational basketball. She plays so hard and so fast sometimes, that finding multiple gears could help her immensely. Otherwise, she puts pressure on defenses in transition, and she pesters opposing ball-handlers.

Homestead was as impressive as anyone at IWU, fielding two Varsity teams that I'm not sure lost at all. With that said, the talent just keeps coming, and Malia is a bright spot in their incoming Freshman class. She has a strong, rugged frame, she's a solid athlete, and she runs the floor hard. She can battle on the block and use her strength, but she also has some mid-post skill and is comfortable facing the basket. She's definitely one to watch.

The month of June has annually been set aside for high school teams to work with their high school coaching staff on skill development, as well as offensive & defensive principles, plus participation in competitive games, whether they are at one of the state's many Summer leagues, high school & college day-long showcases, and the more recent NCAA "scholastic live period," taking place next weekend. Friday afternoon, I continued my day in Marion, Indiana, home of Indiana Wesleyan University, where there were more than 30 Varsity programs competing against one another at Luckey Arena and the 3-court Recreation & Wellness Center. Below is a look at another eight ladies who stood out when I was able to see them during the afternoon's action at Indiana Wesleyan.
