Midwest Showcase 2025: JB’s Day 2 Notes

This high school event brought together several teams from multiple states to face off all under one roof and man has it been exciting. Someone that can heat up in a hurry when she see's one of her first shots fall. Also someone that can be an X factor when used in the correct way. At this point in the season, W's and L's don't matter, it's about getting better and showing consistency. You can tell that Irons is the top-dawg for her program. She came in as a PG last season and really helped her team succeed in some crucial moments. It looks like that's going to continue to be her responsibility over the next two years as well. Today she was shifting defenders up with her handle, making everyone else around her better, and having fun while doing it. Whitney has shown off her coordination, strength, footwork, and soft touch in all of her contests at this event. She is someone that all teams need to account of because if not, she is going to have 20/10 at halftime and kill you. They lost most of their production from years past coming into the 2025 season so all eyes will be on [player_tooltip player_id='756006' first='Ani' last='Leu']. Leu has been a force to be reckoned with at this event so far. She is dominating her personal matchups and really helping everyone out around her but the Winter season will be different. Teams are going to double team, even triple-team her at times and that's when it becomes intesesting. Their 2029 and 2028 Classes are very impressive with the level of production they can produce in a little amount of time. Someone from the 2028 Class specifically, who will be vital this year is [player_tooltip player_id='889435' first='Macy' last='Schneider']. Schneider is a PG with good situation awareness. She can get to the hoop off the dribble and finish in a number of works or she can help out others around her with creating and distributing.
