Yesterday, I highlighted a few kids who could have breakout seasons in the 2025-26 season. Today, I'll highlight a few more breakout candidates who can impress people this coming high school season. Some kids are coming off injuries or are in line for a potential higher-usage role, but let's talk about some more breakout candidates.

[player_tooltip player_id='879927' first='Londyn' last='Hollins']

The Wisconsin Lutheran guard suffered a knee injury in April before her first season as a Viking. Hollins did return late in the season and knocked down some shots before the season concluded. Hollins is a talented 2028 grad who can make plays off the dribble when she's healthy and will likely be the primary ball handler for the Vikings these next three seasons. People know she's good, but she can make a statement this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='874380' first='Olivia' last='Williams']

The Bay Port guard had a solid sophomore season for the Pirates. Williams was a reliable perimeter shooter and provided a threat to get downhill and make plays at the basket. Now that the younger guards in the Pirates program have been injured or are dealing with knee injuries, the Pirates will need even more from Williams. The Bay Port guard will have the ball in her hands and will need to make plays to help the Pirates compete again in 2025-26.

Ni'Kiera Martin

The Madison native has been a secondary paint presence the last few seasons and has shown plenty of traits to like in that time. Martin is a relentless rebounder and does an excellent job finishing around the basket when she gets the chance. The Vel Phillips Memorial forward has also shown she can knock down a perimeter jumper if she's left open. She's a bit of an undersized forward, but I wouldn't be stunned if Martin ended up on a Big Eight All-Conference team next season.

[player_tooltip player_id='881307' first='Kylee' last='Buttchen']

Last season, Milton took a step forward and competed for a Badger-Large Conference title. Older kids were coming back from injury and ones who'd had established roles. Next season, Buttchen is the kid who could be a premier two-way guard in the Madison area. She's an athletic kid who can fly around on both ends of the floor and could be among the most impactful kids in the conference. If the offensive game comes around for her, Buttchen could be a kid who surprises people around the state. I like what she brings to the floor.
