Camilyah emerged as the team's emotional leader last year, and it is evident that not only is she still the emotional leader of the squad, but you can tell that she has fully stepped into the leadership role for the Lady Rams. Her length continues to be a factor on both ends of the floor. Offensively, she continues to be a slasher and a dominant factor on the glass. Defensively, she shows versatility in being able to guard on the perimeter and on the low block. I still would like to see her expand her scoring game to the perimeter and be able to make the 15-18 foot jumper with consistency, which will open up her driving lanes.

Kaylee is an excellent pick-up for the Lady Rams as she brings another reliable ball-handler to the floor, which was an issue for the Lady Rams in last year's final four when their primary ball-handler went out with an injury. Well, Kaylee brings depth and backcourt versatility as she can play on and off the ball. She is a natural lead guard who is really good at balancing scoring and facilitating. She can create her own offense while at the same time making others around her better. She is a really good shooter from behind the arc and has a solid PG IQ. The pick-up of Kaylee just might put the Lady Rams as pre-season #1 and the favorite to win it all.

Kayden will enter her senior year as one of the Lady Rams leaders, and many say had she not got injured in the final four last year, the Lady Rams would have been state champions. While Camilyah is the emotional leader of the team, Kayden is the heartbeat for the Lady Rams. She is going to have the luxury this year to run the show and, at times, slide over to the off-guard position and be a threat with her three-point shooting. She showed some microwave-scoring flashes in the scrimmage and will be a difficult cover for opponents this year.

This was my first time seeing Maliyah in person, and she did not disappoint. When I walked into the gym, coaches immediately started talking to me about her and how good she is going to be. There is no doubt that she is the future of the Lady Spartans, but truthfully, she is ready to lead now. She is young but a highly skilled backcourt talent. She does a good job creating her offense as well as offense of others. She has a nice handle, vision, and passing skills. There are some inconsistencies that come with her youth, but those things should correct themselves as her game continues to develop. She does a good job initiating offense as a lead guard as well as operating as a scoring threat off the catch, and she adjusts seamlessly to team needs, showing a feel for the game beyond her years. She is definitely a talent to keep an eye on.

Zaire showed her versatility on both ends of the floor throughout the scrimmage. She is strong and plays a physical brand of basketball. She provides multi-level scoring but is at her best when she is hunting scoring opportunities inside the arc. She has an ok handle that allows her to rim and run and be effective enough in the open floor to lead the break. She showed good reads with the ball in her hands, showing her capability of creating scoring opportunities. She is active on the glass and brings energy to both ends of the floor.

I was impressed with Sarah's length when I first saw her, and the way she attacked the glass, was being vocal and disruptive at the top of the Lady Spartans' zone defense, and bringing a lot of energy and effort to the floor at times. There were a couple of times during the scrimmage when she gave little effort getting back on defense, which could have been due to fatigue from the prior activities. She still has some work to do on the offensive end of the floor, but I like her role on the squad, and if she embraces it, she can make the Lady Spartans a contender along with the pieces that she is playing alongside.
