Many of those collegiate luminaries were on hand at North Augusta's Riverview Park this past weekend for this year's SC Live Team Camp. Teams from virtually everywhere in the state were once again represented.

We at Prep Girls Hoops also made the trek to the CSRA for this year's festivities. Let us take one more look at the 2026 class – participating in their final of these Live Team Camps.

If one thought last season's 5A Division 2 Greenville team that advanced to the Upper State finals was dangerous, the upcoming 2025-26 version is poised to really give the state problems. Owens is one of the premier guards in the state and a reason for that is how prolific a passer she is. Her court vision allows her to make feeds down court for a teammate to finish the play. She can also be very accurate from behind the 3-point line and those attributes are complimented by how she can make things happen in close proximity to the rim. A two-sport athlete who also plays volleyball, Owens averaged 15.4 points and 10.8 rebounds plus 4.3 steals and 3.4 assists last season with the Red Raiders.

Lavington is another multi-sport athlete. When basketball is not taking up the main share of her athletic plate, that time is reserved for track and field. Defensively, Lavington will help on double teams that can put opposing ball carriers in precarious positions. Those double teams make them turnover-prone and Lavington will take full advantage. She approaches the game with a heads-up attitude and displayed an ability to place points on the board either of the two-point or three-point variety. Lavington primarily operates as a small forward and she too worked her way up from junior varsity status to earn a roster spot with the main Lexington club.

When looking at the reasons as to why 2A Lake Marion concluded last season with a record of 22-3, Moorer definitely has to be either at or near the top of that list. She may be listed at 5-foot-9, but at times it appears that she is playing even taller than that – especially in the interior. Moorer averaged a robust 12.1 points and 7.8 rebounds per contest in 2024-25. Opposing teams have to game plan for her on the defensive side of the floor as well as evidenced by the 4.6 steals on average she posted. Moorer can also plae emphasis on shooting 3-pointers to make her game more versatile.

When a team has top-tier talent spread out among classes, it is a sign of positive fortunes. That will be the case for Ashley Ridge as opposed to last season's Swamp Foxes team which boasted a veteran core. Kelly shines as a transition playmaker and will display leadership by example, particularly on the defensive end. She will play effective defense out on the perimeter and bolsters a team's rebounding efforts. Kelly also has no issues setting up to box out in case of an opposing player's missed free throw. With names like Kelly sporting the Swamp Fox colors, Ashley Ridge will look different – but no less dangerous.

On last season's Dutch Fork team, Lee was one of three on said team that shared team captaincy duties. Not only is Lee a leader in that regard, she leads by example on the court as well. Her first season at the varsity level was as an eighth grader and she has been a key reason why the Silver Foxes are one of the teams to beat in the Palmetto State. Lee is a combo guard who understands how to turn defense into offense, can be accurate with her 3-point shooting and is skilled in the art of making transition plays. The Silver Foxes resemble a team that once again will be a force to be reckoned with when November arrives.

When a team has the interior presence of someone like the veteran Howard, it can certainly make plenty of teams re-think their game plan to prioritize jump shooting. Howard played her first season with Dutch Fork in 2024-25 and helped in guiding the team to its 22-3 mark last season. She averaged 9.7 points, 8.3 rebounds and 1.5 rejections per contest. At times, Howard can also attempt and convert on her midrange jump shot attempts as if she were playing more the four or three. Corralling boards on the offensive glass is another one of Howard's strengths and she understands the attention she attracts in the painted area can open things up for her teammates.
