Vinita Team Camp: Notes Part 2

I watched a game where she took over with tough physical drives either scoring the bucket or drawing the foul. Gives Adair a player that they can count on when you need a bucket to stop the run. Scores in what I call all 3 phases. Outside shot, mid-range game and get to the rim. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Ali has committed to Northeastern Oklahoma State as has new teammate [player_tooltip player_id='572961' first='Hannah' last='Bond']. When talking to her high school coach he mentioned that at times her used Sara at the point spot. After Sara caught my eye, I did some watching for films and she scored from about anywhere on the floor. Low post moves, drives to the buck and knocking down 3 pointers showing that is can score in many ways.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>On defense she controls the paint area for the Vinita squad. Early help rotation on drives walking up for the block.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A 2026 forward that is a force download and because of outside play is a matchup issue at time. Good handles at the point guard spot that had limited turnovers against the press. Moved without the ball finding the open spot for the kick out knock down 3. A long 5'8 guard that gets out on the fastbreaks filling the lanes looking for the up the floor pass. Good hands on the catch and quickly locates herself on the court finding the glass for the finish. If you play for Adair, you must be a shooter and Reagan is one of those players that can flat out shoot the 3. Always moving relocating giving the driver a kick out option.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A hustler on defense that always seemed around any loose ball on the floor. One of those players who is going to win those 50/50 balls. Great defender of the off-passing lanes jumping the land for the steal. The lefty has the ability to shoot the three pointers like a shooting guard but plays defense like a small forward. First time seeing her play and was impressed on how well she moves without the ball on offense by filling lanes on cuts and getting out on the fast breaks.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>On defense she is Long enough to play a half front and quick enough to slide around for the steal. A guard that can shoot the knock 3 with a catch-shoot or off a pump fake side step dribble. Quick downhill driver when she gets her shoulder and feet going towards the basket looking for the layup or foul. Fast tempo ball handler in the fast breaks that can go coast to coast. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Showed lateral footwork on the ball keeping it in front forcing the ball handler side to side. Scrappy defender that gets on the floor for a loose ball.
