Big North Shootout: BEWARE OF 2029 BULLDOG

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This was my first time covering the Big North Shootout, and I couldn't have been more excited to watch many teams from the Petoskey area for the first time in person. Over 40 teams from various parts of Michigan, including several Northern Michigan-based squads, competed for two days. Her high-flying vertical, length, and explosive athleticism were reminiscent of another downstate prospect who is now top ten. Quinn was a rebounding menace, out-leaping defenders to secure several offensive boards. She scored many put-backs off two feet with a soft touch off the glass. Quinn high-pointed two offensive rebounds on the same possession and finished multiple layups in top gear. She caught passes with soft hands to score off two feet, grabbed many defensive rebounds, and tipped a ball to herself in mid-air to score another put-back. She swatted away multiple shots in the paint, disrupted passing lanes with her active arms, and asserted herself in the paint on the offensive end. Taryn scored an old-fashioned three-point play when she finished through contact and tacked on the free throw. Taryn caught a lob pass with soft hands for a layup and added another with her left hand off two feet. She demonstrated excellent awareness by passing out of triple-teams on the block. Alexis created passing windows for teammates with her strong seals and battled to secure rebounds on both ends. Alexis dished a great wrap-around pass to an open teammate and caught a lob with soft hands to score a layup. Ella finished many contested layups with both hands around the basket off two feet. Katie unleashed her energy and gave the team a spark at the Big North Shootout. She closed out quickly to block shots, deflected passes, and caused turnovers with her aggressive pressure. Katie took a steal the other way to score a left-handed layup and did it again for another breakaway layup off two feet. She drove down the baseline and threw a perfect hammer pass to a wide-open teammate in the opposite corner for a three.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
