Who doesn't dislike injuries? They're unfortunate and can temporarily halt players being able to do what they set out to do in a season. This is a topic that hasn't been touched yet, but it comes at the right time. Injuries often leave players feeling forgotten about or discouraged, but the goal here today is to uplift. July has been a fruitful period for many and it'd be a disservice to leave these names out of conversation. Some of these girls are returning shortly while others have a longer road to recovery. These are 5 players whose return is eagerly awaited.

Sara was on a roll early on in the AAU season, unfortunately she suffered an injury that has her missing some time moving forward. This is a player that has a love for the game and her skillset has been stably expanding over the course of the entire year. At 6'1, Santimaw is lengthy plus she has a beautiful stroke on the ball. The long-range ability shown provides a lot of spacing within the lineup. Her drives have been getting stronger and she also gets to the line. Sara is a factor on the defensive boards too. That previously mentioned length allows her to come away with them amongst the trees. Her team defense is reliable plus she's consistently active with her arms extended.

Her passion for hoops will have her bounce back even stronger next year. Best of luck in recovery; sometimes taking a step back from the game can allow players to see the action differently. This time can be used to learn and have a better understanding of how to process reads. That raised IQ plus that itch to get back will work wonders together.

Breen is from a dominate basketball bloodline, so it's no surprise that '29 rising star has been a highly touted name early on. Olivia was receiving offers as early as last year from schools like Providence, BC as well as Robert Morris. Breen suffered an unfavorable injury earlier this season, but her recent announcement to come back to her home state of Maine was exciting for many. Maine has their promising feature young star back from Monteverde and Breen will be a fan-favorite this upcoming season. This is exciting news for the region; Olivia's game is certainly worth taking the trip up to see her play. Her talent is undeniable and her return is eagerly awaited.

Perez had a bigtime year this high school season as well as having a scorching hot start to AAU. Jaelynn announced around this time, early on in summer that she was reclassing into '27, transferring to St. George's. Unfortunately, not too long after she suffered an injury. The bright side to things is that she has plenty of time to work herself back from this though. Perez is one of RI's brightest point guards. Her game has evolved and this injury shouldn't hold her back in her return. She's a stable asset that knows how to be effective many ways.

Destiny had a procedure done a few months back and everything went well following it. The rehab is the main focus, but her return next season will be absolutely valuable to a new-look Wheeler squad that's looking to make a change within the culture. She'll be a main piece to their operation and her 2-way abilities will be used in a plethora of scenarios. Davidson embodies everything a coach is looking for in a selfless player. Destiny can fill a handful of roles plus she leads to winning basketball. The '30 wing doesn't take away from others, adds to her team's chemistry, can defend multiple positions and she's efficient in her minutes.

Jordan didn't get to play a full high school season, but has been excelling in AAU up to this point. Camilla offers athleticism, she symbolizes hustle, hard work as well as effort and she has a competitive spirit. The 2-way tenacious player brings a tough edge to every game. Her defense is topnotch and it helps fuel her offense too. Her stock has certainly boosted in a short span, so moving into the high school season she'll be intriguing watch. Jordan is one to watch; it'll be nice to see what type of production she has with a full season under her belt.
