Now that the AAU season has ended, I'd like to start shifting my attention slowly to the upcoming high school season. Some players've had a solid spring and summer season that they could turn into a productive winter at their respective high schools. I want to use this time to earmark a handful of players who could have breakout campaigns in the 2025-26 season.

Sydney Michalkiewicz

The Neenah guard played alongside some talented backcourt players this summer with [program_tooltip program_id='712778' first='Purple' last='Aces'], and didn't have the ball in her hands much when I saw her last spring. However, she was effective on the offensive end of the floor, which leads me to believe she could have a solid 25-26 season playing with Neenah's backcourt. She is a solid spot shooter and isn't afraid to take high-pressure shots late in games if the ball ends up in her hands.

[player_tooltip player_id='915005' first='Courtney' last='Monroe']

The Mount Horeb guard has all the tools to have a breakout 25-26 season. Her ability to control a game with the ball in her hands could help take her Vikings team to a new level next season. Monroe does an excellent job of getting the most out of every offensive possession she runs. She moves the ball, has a high IQ, and can put pressure on defenses by getting downhill. The more she has the ball in her hands on the offensive end of the floor, the better I expect the results to be for the Vikings.

[player_tooltip player_id='855854' first='Morgan' last='Martinez']

We will see what Martinez's minutes look like next season, but her style is something that could complement the very skillful core Wisconsin Lutheran will roll out next season. Martinez won't be a player who gets 20 plays called for her, but she is a high-motor kid who could lead the Woodland Conference in rebounding. Her effort will generate second-chance opportunities and extra possessions that will pay off.

[player_tooltip player_id='889690' first='Mylee' last='Redman']

The Laconia guard had an excellent AAU season with [program_tooltip program_id='713038' first='Wisconsin' last='Blaze']. The one part of Redman that stood out to me was her consistency. Each time I watched her play, she did the same things. She may not be the most vocal kid on the floor, but she looks comfortable in every situation she gets thrown into, and that makes her a kid that you can't take off the floor. I'm unsure where she'll play in the high school season with the Spartans, but she'll find a way to succeed.
