The PGH Circuit came to a close this weekend with the Battle in the Sunflower event. I always enjoy this event because it gives me an opportunity to expand my evaluation area. Several of these players we follow each other but I only get to see film so it is nice to watch some live action. I actually get the chance to put some eyes on them. Check out these 6 players I am only one scout so Iif I missed you please reach out. Tag me in those highlights or give me a follow on these platforms. x @coachjvick2 IG @coach_jvick

The power forward kept catching my attention with her tough physical inside play on defense and the multiple ways she scored on offense. At the forward position on offense, she did a great job of continuing to move her feet while keeping the defender from sliding over the top for the steal. Giving the target where she wanted the pass and having the good hands to catch for the finish. Scrapper on the offensive rebound that battled among the other post to gain those valuable extra possessions for her team.

A matchup problem I could see for some teams as Addison can shoot the 3-pointer and also has a nice smooth jumper from the 15 feet high post area. On defense you can tell that she must play some volleyball. The timing on the jump is just right for the block and it is straight up not fouling the shooter. A 2026 that brings a complete game at the power forward position.

First time seeing Avery play and I can see why she is ranked #1 at the shooting guard spot in her 2026 class. She checks all the boxes that you are looking for at the guard position. First the height at 5'10 has a strong looking body that can handle the physical play at the next level. The all around skill set is amazing she is listed as a shooting guard but handled the ball most of the time in pressure situations. Mostly in part I would guess cause of the IQ she has. Nice footwork on the catch n shoot or the 1-2 stepping into the shot.

Tough defender on the front of the press that has quick lateral feet forcing a turnover on the pass. Great vision on the front court steal with eyes up the floor looking to make the pass to open teammates.

A dual sport athlete that I was told could play basketball and soccer at the next level. A very polite young lady when visiting with her. I will be following the 2026 to see where she will be playing at the next level. As she has D1/D2 offers in both sports.

The lefty has great height and length for the guard spot. Kayden can play the 1-3 guard spots and possible the 4 if you are running a 4 out offense. Good handles the open floor that uses the pocket hesi to change her speed while attacking the rim. On the kick out passes they are strong and, on the money, getting it quickly to the open shooter. I have seen Kayden before and she is a expectably good outside shooter with nice form and release. In the game Saturday she took what the defense gave her scoring 18 points with most of those coming off downhill drives and back door cuts. Best finish move is a right to left hand spin move that was tight and put in squared up with the backboard for the finish.

The 2027 plays on a highly ranked high school team and understands what it takes to win ball games. Expect an outstanding junior season that could increase the recruiting interest.

The very first impression when watching Gabby for the first time is that she is a long 5'10 guard that runs the court like a deer and can jump out of the gym. The game style she plays is a perfect fit for a program that likes tall guards who can play multiple positions. The outside shooting was on point with the catch and shoot on the kickouts. Liked the step out footwork coming off the screens or baseline creating the space needed to get the shot off. On the paint touches she used her height and jumping abilities rising up over the small defender to get the shot off.

On fastbreaks she filled the lanes getting out ahead for the up the floor pass. When jumping the passing lane for the steal she has the speed and handles to go coast to coast for the layup. Excellent rebounder on both ends that I could see a potential double-double for this young lady every time she plays. Enjoyed watching her play as she just seemed to make good things happen for her team. Great athlete

Lighting quick guard that pushes the ball baseline to baseline. The shooting guard got hot in one of the games showing that she is deep threat shooter. Moved off the ball against the zone defense finding the gaps waiting for the extra pass for the shot. The range continued to draw the defense court allowing her to attack the poor close out with a paint touch opportunity. Showed good vision in reading the help defender by kicking it out to the spot up shooter on the kick. Good control of the ball using a crossover to get downhill or pocket dribble to change the speed before attacking baseline.

On defense showed quick lateral footwork while pressing the ball allowing no blow byes. Plays with a lot of energy that carried on to her teammates

Strong Powe forward that was a force inside every game I watched her play in the weekend. A great job be physical when working for the positioning on the low block giving the guards a good entry passing angle. Good hands that caught pretty much any pass that came her way. Used two good post moves on the block that were very effective. One was a power dribble hooking the defender to gain the inside baseline. Other move was a nice shoulder fake to shoot over the opposite shoulder. The power forward did show off her shooting range knocking down the high post shot. Form look very smooth giving no doubt that she could have that 3-point range as well.

Rebounding was the difference maker in every game. A must player to box out on offense as she hunted down that extra possession resulting into points off putbacks. A 2026 that is on the radar of several colleges and could be on more after second Live Period
