[player_tooltip player_id='820879' first='Ava' last='Markowski'] of Pius X locked in her committed to be a Division-1 player yesterday when she announced that she will be attending Omaha, starting in the Fall of 2026. Markowski comes into her senior season this Winter as a 5'11 SG. She primarily plays off of the ball and likes to produce as the 2 or the 3 within her team's offenses. She can also handle it a little bit and she is a noteworthy defender when she is motivated. She beats her opponents to their stops and she isn't afraid to get physical. She will mix it up with anyone and everyone. Which speaks to her aggressive edge when she competes. Pius X is going to to be looking at Markowski for a good amount of production over the next 8 months. As long as their system plays to that, it should be a fun season for everyone involved.

The first offer for a 2029 prospect out of the state of Nebraska comes to [player_tooltip player_id='897256' first='Emerson' last='Johnson'] of Elkhorn South High School. Johnson grabbed a D2-UNK offer over the past few days because of her play on the road to finish off the Summer AAU season. Johnson has fantastic size at 5'10 for her grade-level, she is extremely coordinated, she has natural skill, and she has the smarts to bring it all together. Obviously with someone who wasn't played a possession of Varsity ball, there is a long way to go throughout her high school career but this is a GREAT start if you ask me.

We mentioned how [player_tooltip player_id='893232' first='Harper' last='Bohaboj'] was more of an underrated hooper out of the 2027 Class at the PG spot then later that night she received an offer from Northern Illinois University. Bohaboj is naturally gifted as a skilled player. She might not be the tallest or more athletic individual on court but she makes up for that with knowing how the game is played. She is selfless in her pursuit of helping her team compete and others are starting to see that. This also puts Bennington High School in some rare air. They could have three D1 players, maybe even 4 at the end of the day out of their younger Classes if things pan out. This should give them a good chance to make it back to State but we will see.

[player_tooltip player_id='757578' first='Kendall' last='Anderson'] locked in her future to UNK following her Winter season at Lincoln North Star High School. Anderson competed with [program_tooltip program_id='712472' first='CSS' last='Bison'] over the past few years on the BlueStar Circuit. We only had a chance to see Anderson compete on the travel floor a few times but whenever we did, she always stood out as someone who could be a role player at the next level. This is a hooper that competes with determination and she is always trying to do what is best for her fellow teammates. That translates to the next level and I'm excited to see that within Coach Drew Johnson's offense.

[player_tooltip player_id='896914' first='Addison' last='Sharpe'], a SG from Wynot High School, recently committed last week to NAIA - Peru State to stay within the beautiful state of Nebraska for the upcoming future. Sharpe has a fundamental and consistent shooting stroke from deep. She is one of those that is always ready to let it fly with her feet set, she always has great balance, she won't force unneeded shots, and she understands how to make those around her better. This was a nice pickup for Peru. If they use her in the right ways at her position, she is sure to continue as a Sharpe shooter over her career.
