Freshman Showcase: Names to Remember, Part 2

While I was stationed on one court nearly the entire time, I did not get to see every player who came to camp. On Saturday at camp, Dowell showed she can score at every level and is capable of creating open looks for shooters on the perimeter. Whether it's scoring, rebounding or facilitating, Thacker can do it all. She's capable of knocking down shots from range but needs to improve her overall shooting efficiency in her freshman season. When she does get to that level, expect Amelia to be an even better version of what I saw on Saturday. She's strong with good size and showed some ball skills and basketball IQ. She looks like she can score the ball inside and out and is able to switch across multiple positions on the defensive end. Johnson Central has quality depth and Kamryn is another quality piece to their puzzle. Lexi is a talented guard who excels at getting into the paint and making good decisions. Capable of finishing at the rim or knocking down threes from range, Murphy can score the ball efficiently and should keep making an impact at Cooper this season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
