Impact Transfers in Northern Indiana for 2025-26

With the Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) instituting new transfer rules for all sports for the 2025-2026 school year, I think a lot of people expected a mass exodus of kids transferring from school to school. Instead, we've only come across a handful of changes, and below we've listed out what we expect to be the most impactful ones in Northern Indiana.   .    Lucy spent her Freshman year at John Glenn High School, before playing the last two seasons at Tippecanoe Valley High School. Now, as a Senior, she will suit up for South Bend's St. Joseph High School. She gives the Huskies a strong, skilled, experienced presence in the paint, which should help a talented collection of young guards this year. Lucy has skill facing the basket to near the 3-point line, plus she is physical around the paint and can score it at the basket. She'll also provide solid interior defense and rebounding.     Isabelle followed in her sister's footsteps at Fort Wayne's Bishop Dwenger High School. Now, as a Junior, she'll be competing with the Snider Panthers and their nucleus of elite young talent. Izzy brings her own athletic talent, good size, and the ability to play at all three levels. She can play around the paint with her size, rebound, and defend, but she also has some ball skill, the ability to make plays around the perimeter and in the mid-post, and she has improved her touch from outside, helping to keep defenses honest.     Kylah has been everything for the Governors of Hammond's Oliver P. Morton High School the last two years, but according to multiple social media posts, she is attending the Example Academy in Chicago, Illinois, this season. Kylah is an absolute force on the floor, as she is built like a power forward, but she possesses wing skill and athleticism. She can handle it and create offense for herself or others, she can score it from all three levels, and she plays with an outstanding motor that helps here defensively and on the boards.     Reagan is a long, wiry wing who transferred from Northridge High School to Warsaw Community High School at the beginning of the Summer. She brings a good understanding of the game, nice mid-post to perimeter versatility, a solid motor, plus the ability to affect the game in different ways. While she isn't a post, she can help a little with the graduation loss of Brooke Winchester. Reagan can rebound & defend from all three levels, she can handle it a little, and she can knock down perimeter jumpers consistently.     Kyra has always been a nice, talented, skillful guard who plays with versatility. She spent the last two years gaining great experience in South Bend Washington's lineup. She can now take that to the Class 2A level and really help the Whitko Wildcats with playmaking and scoring. She has an athletic frame, nice length, speed, quickness, and some bounce. More importantly, she is a creative player who can play some on the ball, plus I feel like she has the potential to become an elite defender at the Class 2A level.     After growing up and spending her Freshman year in the Lake Central system, Lauren is now at Illiana Christian, just five miles away. The Vikings are entering their sixth season as an IHSAA member school, and they are in a competitive Class 3A Sectional #18. Lauren brings a nice inside-out game to Illiana Christian. She has touch around the perimeter, a wiry-strong frame, and solid all-around athleticism. She is probably best in the mid-post, but she can also play/defend around the block when necessary, and she has a nice motor.
