ND Attack 16U: Season Review

The [program_tooltip program_id='712708' first='ND' last='Attack'] 16U squad wrapped up a strong 2025 grassroots campaign, finishing with an impressive 15-6 record against solid competition. Featuring a talented mix of players from both North Dakota and South Dakota, this group showcased their chemistry and skill in tournaments across South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, and Colorado.   From competitive showings to statement wins, the Attack proved they could hang with tough teams throughout the Midwest. With a deep roster and next-level potential across the board, this squad made the most of their opportunities and put together a season to be proud of. She handles the ball extremely well and is shifty on both offense & defense. Kohn is the catalyst of the offense; she sees the open girl and often creates scoring opportunities for her teammates. Jordyn has really worked on her moves to get to the rim and her quickness is an asset in that aspect. Kohn is also able to hit jump shots and pull up for the three, making her a level-three scorer. She is our lockdown defender, not only creating havoc on the press but can shut down an opponent and is one of the best on-guard defenders on our team."</li> </ul> </li>   <li>[player_tooltip player_id='1280365' first='Madison' last='Dauwen'] (Lemmon, SD) <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>"[player_tooltip player_id='1280365' first='Madison' last='Dauwen'] is one of our best post players. She is skilled with both her back to the basket and can extend and nail threes.  Dauwen has a smooth shot and is deadly from the outside, making her a tough opponent to match up with. This summer, she has done a nice job of driving to the rim and finishing hard. She is one of the leading rebounders and plays solid post defense."</li> </ul> </li>   <li>[player_tooltip player_id='1280368' first='Izzie' last='O'Donnell'] (Lemmon, SD) <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>"[player_tooltip player_id='1280368' first='Izzie' last='O'Donnell'] is one of the leading scorers on the [program_tooltip program_id='712708' first='ND' last='Attack'] team. She is an excellent shooter from the outside and has really been working on her mid-range game this summer. O'Donnell's defense has really improved, and she is doing an excellent job of anticipating and running through passes, helping to make our presses hard to get through. Although Izzie is typically a shooting guard, she has learned how to play all of the positions, making her a well-rounded player."   </li> </ul> </li>   <li>[player_tooltip player_id='1132745' first='Abby' last='Praus'] (Dickinson, ND) <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>"[player_tooltip player_id='1132745' first='Abby' last='Praus'] is an excellent three-point shooter with a quick release, but also has the ability to drive the baseline. Praus is quick and athletic and is a key component to our defense. She is also a very good on-ball defender and applies excellent pressure."</li> </ul> </li>   <li>[player_tooltip player_id='935279' first='Betsy' last='Huber'] (Edgely, ND) <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>"[player_tooltip player_id='935279' first='Betsy' last='Huber'] is a very dynamic player. Huber does a really good job of finishing in the paint and is great at offensive rebound put-backs. She has a nose for the ball and is very aggressive. She is one of our leading rebounders and one of our best post defenders.  Huber is quick and athletic and a threat on both sides of the ball."</li> </ul> </li>   <li>[player_tooltip player_id='1104818' first='Kaitlyn' last='Maddock'] (Benson Co., ND) <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>"[player_tooltip player_id='1104818' first='Kaitlyn' last='Maddock'] is a very good outside shooter. She normally plays a two-guard for our team but has the ability to play point as well. She is not afraid to bring the ball up against pressure and is a strong passer. Maddock does a nice job of anticipating passes on defense and hits the boards well."</li> </ul> </li>   <li>[player_tooltip player_id='1178966' first='Hadley' last='Talkington'] (Belfield, ND) <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>"[player_tooltip player_id='1178966' first='Hadley' last='Talkington'] is a good outside shooter but is able to drive to the rim and pull up for the mid-range jumper as well. She is not afraid to handle the ball. Talkington really improved on her transitional skills this summer and did a nice job of pushing tempo and getting to the rim."</li> </ul> </li>   <li>[player_tooltip player_id='1155605' first='Logyn' last='Simpson'] (Bottineau, ND) <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>"[player_tooltip player_id='1155605' first='Logyn' last='Simpson'] is a very a smart, quick player for our team and does a lot of intangibles that are hard to stat. Simpson shows textbook skills when boxing out and does an excellent job of getting rebounds for her size.
