PREVIEW: Freshman Showcase–Tall Guards

Prospects will compete in games at the MSA Fieldhouse in Grand Rapids, Michigan, from 11-3 PM on Saturday, August 30th. Multitudes of new and familiar names are attending, and we are eager to give these girls the best live and written coverage possible! O.J. has a love for the game and a competitive demeanor that leaves an impression on you. At BCAM, GVSU, and a travel tourney, I had the chance to see how great a prospect she is. Kinley possesses ball-handling skills, balance, vision, and scoring instincts as a guard that are rare at her height. At Oakland Elite camp, Izzy was a girl on fire. She ripped nets continually with three-pointers and attacked gaps off the dribble. During her travel season, Izzy continually scored around the rim off two feet, handled the ball with poise, and contributed as a rebounder. She was one of the best all-around prospects in the gym at Oakland Elite Camp--Logyn's passing vision, three-point accuracy, ball-handling, and unselfish style of play make her one of my favorite prospects to watch in this class. Evelyn has the fundamentals needed to be an elite scorer, but she also plays hard on the defensive end. Avery left a great first impression at BCAM, and she cemented herself in my mind as a special prospect during Jackson Summer League games. Avery has a smooth stroke from the perimeter, confident ball-handling, and is an impactful defender. She's athletic and is a guard I expect to stand out at the Freshman Showcase tomorrow.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
