Part two of my Summer Ball All-Kansas 2026 Team moves onto combo guards and small forwards. Part one started things off by highlighting point and shooting guards. My annual all-Kansas teams arrive at the end of July when nearly all club play comes to a halt. I only draw from players that I have seen in person. I saw a large number of prospects over the past few months at events (Prep Girls Hoops, MAYB, I-35 Shootout), a club tryout and a team camp so making my picks was far from easy. Enjoy my look at the incoming senior class.

[player_tooltip player_id='544003' first='Avery' last='Brawner'], 6'0", Haven - Brawner continued to show that she is an outright load. And after stepping up to run the point last season she confidently plays and defends every position. Hopefully she will be able to return to her most dominant role, playing on the wing and inside. After reaching the 3A state tournament as a sophomore Brawner will be gunning for a return. She recently announced her softball commitment to Hutchinson Community College but she easily would be an impact player on the hardwoods.

[player_tooltip player_id='910362' first='Rylie' last='Edwards'], 5'11", Blue Valley Northwest - I have long been familiar with Edwards' ability to punish lazy and guessing defenders with her penchant for getting to the hole and scoring athletically. She also is very capable on the offensive glass. What I saw this summer, playing with a team with not a lot of size, was her chops playing and defending inside. She battled with physicality and used her quickness to disrupt interior passes and contest shots.

[player_tooltip player_id='544004' first='Amaya' last='Burris'], 5'11", Bonner Springs - At the Prep Girls Hoops KC Clash early in the summer I got to see Burris play for the first time and it was against Fort Hays State University commit [player_tooltip player_id='634243' first='Arika' last='Feldman']. Watching her compete on both ends against a prospect I am very familiar led me to conclude that Burris should be on a lot of college's recruiting lists. Burris is a lengthy talent with solid speed. She consistently defended well on the perimeter and inside. I also liked her swift release and bounce on her jumper off the catch. Burris is nowhere near her ceiling and will be a vital piece of a tough Bonner Springs team in the coming high school season.

[player_tooltip player_id='634243' first='Arika' last='Feldman'], 6'1", Little River - Feldman continued to show the versatility that she will take to Fort Hays State University come fall 2026. She also made the toughest shot I saw all summer. Catching the ball on the right side, extended short corner Feldman quickly spun and released a turnaround jumper over a lengthy challenger that caught nothing but net. I rarely see a high school player chance that high level shot.

[player_tooltip player_id='1263301' first='Katie' last='LeFever'], 5'9", Olathe East - At the I-35 Showcase LeFever showed herself to be a consistent, impactful presence who played hard. Her game starts with quality footwork and vision in the half court and she made the best of it with her solid frame. LeFever scored well from both her block and face-up games and jumped off two feet well going for rebounds and scoring attempts. She also has a smooth perimeter release with 20' range. Her ability to change ends to get in position was habitually good. A well-rounded player who executes well LeFever is a solid JUCO prospect that will blossom further at the next level.
