You've got to want it. Work at it. Believe in yourself. You are going to have highs, you are going to have lows, but if you trust in the process and have belief, you can do anything and all things. Sometimes, you never know when your breakthrough is going to happen. It may happen in summer ball, high school ball, because of an injury, your number is called, you just never know. Whenever that moment is, you've got to be ready for it, and that is why you must grind every day and trust the process. Even when you don't feel like putting in the work, some work is better than nothing because if you are sitting idle, someone out there is getting better than you.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>High school ball is still a couple of months away at the time of this writing, but I know there are tons of girls out there who are working on their craft. With their eyes set to capture something bigger than themselves, these kids are grinding away in the lab, in their driveway, wherever they can get up shots or lift weights. The offseason is just as important as the regular season. In fact all times are important. So keep your head down and work. She has put in that work in the offseason, both in the weight room and in the lab. AD had a tremendous summer ball season where she destroyed opponents. Her game has evolved to where she can knock down the outside shot consistently, put the ball on the floor, and utilize her quick first step to the rim, and is still a beast around the low blocks, where she has a nice bag of counter moves that she uses on her way to scoring the basketball. She is a worker, and this upcoming season, she is going to have a breakthrough year and showcase that she belongs with some of the league's best. She's a go-getter who competes on both ends of the floor. She can score it, make assists, run an offense efficiently, you name it. Add in her ability to defend, get steals, and contribute in other areas, and this kid is special. She is an emotional leader who is willing to shoulder the weight and take more than she should. She can rally the troops and really uplift those around her with her style of play. She's had adversity, overcame that, and has really learned and taken off since. Last year was great, and this year, she is looking to make it even better. She knows there is some unfinished business to attend to, and she has been grinding away. The notoriety and opportunities are going to come, but this kid has been in the lab getting ready for her breakthrough year. Battle-tested this past summer, she has been showcasing her skillset on the circuit. She's learned a lot, gained a lot, and is ready to exploit opponents. Faye is a freakish student-athlete who competes on both ends of the floor. Double-double, triple-double, she is capable of doing all things. She plays with such a motor and doesn't give up or give in at any point. She can score from beyond, put it on the floor, and get to the rim, stop and pop, the ball is going to go in one way or another. I love her ability to defend and rebound, which plays a key part in her team's success. Another attribute I love about her is that she is fearless. She will go toe- to - toe with someone bigger than her and just battle. Well, this is that type of girl, and she doesn't even mean to. This kid plays with an edge, and it's not that she is trying to be the villain, but she is going to go at you, through you, and compete no matter what is going on. A shifty guard who is always in attack mode. She is going to get a paint touch and unleash a nice floater game or kick it because she drew two. You know that kid that makes you say “nice pass,” well, she is that girl cause she can thread the needle. She is going to lock up on the defensive end as well. To recap, she can score it, make timely assists, defend, and she just brings the energy, and that is what makes her a prospect on the rise. The Lady Bears have something brewing in Wilson County.
