The 2027 rankings list now features 202 ranked prospects and 327 total. At this point in the recruiting calendar, projected college potential is transitioning into actual college ability. The offers on the table are an indicator of where colleges have prospects ranked on their recruiting boards, and we believe that four-year colleges at every level are now recruiting the 2027 class. There are prospects whose offers do not represent our current evaluation of their abilities, and offers are not the ultimate measure we use to rank players. However, offers are a category in the evaluation criteria that we reflect upon during the rankings process.

The 2027 class is a bit of an enigma because we don't see the clear separation between prospects that we see in other age groups across the state. Many bubble prospects exemplify strengths in certain skills/athletic qualities that give them great potential, but may have areas of improvement that leave room for doubt. For those reasons, there could still be substantial shifts in future rankings ahead, depending on which NAIA/D3/JUCO projected prospects demonstrate growth, which could result in higher offers. Here are several point guards in the 2027 class who moved up in our latest update.

McKynley is a prototypical point guard who competes with a high motor and works hard on defense. She's a skilled ball-handler with great court vision. McKynley has the speed to beat defenders off the dribble for layups and is a threat from three-point range. She excelled on the travel circuit with [program_tooltip program_id='1312033' first='Michigan' last='Premier-S40'] and was a top performer at Ferris Elite Camp. McKynley will be one of the top lead guards in the gym at The Expo, and I won't be surprised to see offers coming her way soon.

Maraeyah is a shifty and athletic point guard who creates space with her dribble and gets to the rim. She showed up and showed out at the Mystics open gym a few weeks ago. Maraeyah converted tough finishes at the rim and used her quick hands to steal the ball away on defense. Her complete effort on both ends, dribble penetration, confident ball-handling, contested finishes, and precise passes were separators on the court. Maraeyah will be exciting to watch at The Expo, and she's a prospect who should have more recruiting interest at this point.

Sadie plays with unlimited energy on the court. Her disruptive defense and high effort gained attention with Macon Academy during the travel season. Sadie caught my attention at the Jackson Summer League with her three-point accuracy, impressive finishing ability from difficult angles around the basket, and extra gear off the dribble. She's a shifty playmaker and will be a great addition to the Parma Western program.

After graduating key seniors from the backcourt, Sasha will be the ring leader for Avondale this winter. She looks more than capable of handling that role. At Oakland Elite Camp, she stood out. Sasha showed a dribble burst, changed directions quickly, finished with both hands at the rim, and knocked down shots from beyond the arc. She moved up in the rankings and should definitely be on some college radars.

Emma turned in some strong performances for [program_tooltip program_id='1226083' first='West' last='Michigan Drive'] on the travel circuit and stood out at elite camps. Her determination, gritty defense, and instincts make a difference on the defensive end. She drives hard downhill to earn free throws and score layups. Emma creates scoring opportunities for teammates and crashes the boards to score offensive rebound put backs. She's a stat stuffer and will be a prospect to watch at Hamilton this winter.

Aubrey earned a ranking in the latest update and she's a scrappy point guard who impacts every area of the game for Beal City. She has a variety of dribble combinations in her tool box and penetrates gaps with a burst to score layups or cause fouls. Aubrey makes all of the effort plays, diving on the floor for loose balls, and putting her body on the line for her team. She knocks down perimeter jumpers, finds open teammates, and causes turnovers with her all-out pressure on defense. Aubrey made a great impression at Northwood Team Camp two years in a row and should have some college opportunities before graduating.

Lyla is a prospect I saw for the first time at Jackson Summer League with Hanover-Horton and she made sure to leave a lasting impression. Her quickness and anticipation creates steals on the defensive end. Lyla plays hard and competes regardless of the outcome. She has an explosive first step off the dribble and finishes through contact. Lyla moves well without the ball, finishes with both hands at the rim, and sees the floor. She earned a spot on our rankings board and is a guard I'm excited to see again in the future.

Sam is a scrappy point guard from Stoney Creek who contributes in every category to help the team succeed. She turned in an impressive performance at The Compound Summer League. Sam drained smooth three-pointers, cut backdoor, finished around the rim, and applied tremendous ball pressure on defense. She plays hard and with a competitive edge whenever I see her on the court. Sam earned a spot in our rankings and will be an impactful member of the backcourt this winter.
