The 2027 rankings list now features 202 ranked prospects and 327 total. At this point in the recruiting calendar, projected college potential is transitioning into actual college ability. The offers on the table are an indicator of where colleges have prospects ranked on their recruiting boards, and we believe that four-year colleges at every level are now recruiting the 2027 class. There are prospects whose offers do not represent our current evaluation of their abilities, and offers are not the ultimate measure we use to rank players. However, offers are a category in the evaluation criteria that we reflect upon during the rankings process.

The 2027 class is a bit of an enigma because we don't see the clear separation between prospects that we see in other age groups across the state. Many bubble prospects exemplify strengths in certain skills/athletic qualities that give them great potential, but may have areas of improvement that leave room for doubt. For those reasons, there could still be substantial shifts in future rankings ahead, depending on which NAIA/D3/JUCO projected prospects demonstrate growth, which could result in higher offers. Here are multiple wings-small forwards in the 2027 class who moved up in our latest update.

Jazanaye combines length, physicality, athleticism, mobility, and all-out aggressiveness to be a difference maker on the court. Jazanaye is a relentless rebounder on both ends, closes passing lanes, and protects the rim as a shot blocker. She cleans up around the basket on the offensive end and works hard in the post to seal defenders to catch entry passes. Jazanaye has a high ceiling with her athleticism and height. She hasn't hit her ceiling yet fundamentally and has the potential to play inside or outside at the college level.

Lakelyn has athleticism, versatility, and length that make her a can't-miss prospect on the court. She attacks downhill with an explosive burst and finishes well at the rim with both hands off two feet. Lakelyn causes havoc with her defensive pressure and effort, while impacting games as a rebounder. She stuffs that stat sheet and is headed towards a huge Junior season for Hudsonville.

Sam is a wing who has established herself as one of the most lethal three-point threats in the 2027 class. She lives in the gym and has silky smooth mechanics off the catch and the dribble. Sam handles the ball confidently with both hands, finishes at the rim, dishes out strong passes, and blocks shots on the defensive end. She picked up an offer from Hope College this month and could be in store for a big day at The Expo.

Sophia has length, quickness, and versatility that stand out on the court. She's continued to demonstrate progress on the offensive end. Her development as a perimeter threat really showed during travel and team camps during the summer. Sophia contributes in every category, gets to the rim, makes a difference on defense, and comes through when the pressure is on. I expect her recruiting to take off soon, and she's a prospect college coaches need to have eyes on at The Expo.

Maya is another prospect in the wing-guard category who should see her recruiting take off in the coming months. She had a strong travel season for [program_tooltip program_id='1226083' first='West' last='Michigan Drive'] and stood out as one of the top performers at SVSU Elite Camp. Maya scores at all three levels, has excellent handles, sees the floor, finishes at the rim, and knows how to play without the ball. She earned a higher ranking and will be a prospect to watch at Holt this winter.
