[player_tooltip player_id='920273' first='Samantha' last='Dorrity'] is going to have a chance to take the State by storm within the 4A Class with the ample opportunity that she will have over the next few years. Dorrity, a 5'11 SF/CG, is coming off of a respectable AAU season with her North Tartan EYBL program out of Minnesota and she is ready to build on that. This is someone that can move between the 3, 4, and 5 spot right now, depending on the line up in front of her. She can either post up her matchup around her or she can work from 15Ft and in. She is coordinated enough to finish on either side of the bucket, while having coordination, a soft touch on the ball, good footwork, and a ton of heart. All in all, I'm excited to see what Dorrity could bring to the floor over the next few years but we will just have to wait and see how it all plays out.

[player_tooltip player_id='913222' first='Julia' last='Van Keuren'] os Waukee High School is one of the biggest prospects that we have through out this 2028 Class when it comes to height. Not only is Van Keuren tall, she has proven that she does have some guard-like tendencies. She is able to move really well, she can put the rock on the floor and drive off the dribble or she can limit her dribbles to keep everything efficient. We saw Van Keuren make some big time progress last Winter and I think we see her build on that this time around as long as she is used in the correct ways.

[player_tooltip player_id='880904' first='Ellie' last='Sievers'] has always been a skilled-killer out on the hardwood and I expect her to take a big step up over the next twelve months. Sievers is as talented as they come. She can do it all on offense, while being a skilled defender as well. Defensively, she understands when to sit back and wait for the ball to come to her or when she should be ultra-aggressive as she looks to cause a steal/deflection. Sievers will have some more help for the foreseeable future coming in this Winter from the 2029 Class, so we will patiently wait to see how everything plays out within their 1A Class level. If they play their cards right, this is a group we could see back in the 1A State Title game before you know it.

Davenport North losses their main producers from years past so it's time for [player_tooltip player_id='909489' first='Alaina' last='Dreckmeier'] to show the state what she can really do with the ball in her possession. When Dreckmeier has played against skilled individuals in the past on the road, she has held her own and done really well. I had the chance to see Dreckmeier this off-season in Chicago and in that contest she had to have 20 points, 10 steals, a few assists, and a couple rebounds in total. She shined as her UAA team's best prospect in that game so I know she is capable of putting up some stupid numbers over the next three years. She just needs to be put in the position to succeed and the rest will be history.

Another prospects, who might get their shot to see a lot of Varisty time over the next few years is [player_tooltip player_id='884847' first='Olivia' last='Baker'] with her transfer to Waukee High School. Baker is talked about very highly by everyone in the basketball community because of her future potential. Baker has length, smarts, and the uncanny ability to make plays when things happen to break down within her team's systems on both sides of the ball. She has a pure shooting stroke off the catch and she also seems to be a great teammate to those around her. We should see this Waukee group ball out with some 2029 and 2028 hoopers, with Baker being one of them over the next few years. They just have to stay locked in mentally and they should thrive moving forward.
