The Fall League once again highlighted why Florida girls' basketball is deep and dangerous heading into the season. The showdown between state finalists Bolles and Tocoi Creek brought championship-caliber intensity, and so did the matchup between Fleming Island and Bishop Snyder. The intensity was high as many new players and returning veterans were carving out a breakout. These players played well and it felt like Lakeland was the ultimate prize.

[player_tooltip player_id='1172571' first='Mia' last='Sanchez'] was the engine for Tocoi Creek. She displayed athleticism and was strong and fearless on the floor. Sanchez is a glue player for her team. She defended on the perimeter with energy, dove on the floor for loose balls, and made sure the offense ran smoothly. Her leadership and hustle made her the heart and soul of the team. Sanchez can also get to the rim and score with a clear lane. She is poised for a breakout season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1246251' first='Tiarra' last='Redding'] was a force on the glass and controlled matters against elite athleticism. She rebounded with poise and consistently put her team in position to reset possessions. Redding already looks like an interior anchor on the offense. She showed a lot of toughness in the paint and even with her offensive game in the development stages, she still made enough plays to put pressure on the defense.

She was very physical against guards at the top and she played relentless, in-your-face defense and didn't hesitate to hit the floor for loose balls. Offensively, her ability to shoot the three and also put the ball on the floor opened opportunities for herself and her teammates. Her mix of grit, effort, and skill made her a tone-setter for Bolles. Her consistent play could be the reason the Lady Bulldogs make it back to Lakeland
