The Fall League once again highlighted why Florida girls' basketball is deep and dangerous heading into the season. The showdown between state finalists Bolles and Tocoi Creek brought championship-caliber intensity, and so did the matchup between Fleming Island and Bishop Snyder. The intensity was high as many new players and returning veterans were carving out a breakout. These players played well and it felt like Lakeland was the ultimate prize.

[player_tooltip player_id='1172571' first='Mia' last='Sanchez'] was the engine for Tocoi Creek. She defended on the perimeter with energy, dove on the floor for loose balls, and made sure the offense ran smoothly. Her leadership and hustle made her the heart and soul of the team. Sanchez can also get to the rim and score with a clear lane. She was very physical against guards at the top and she played relentless, in-your-face defense and didn't hesitate to hit the floor for loose balls. Offensively, her ability to shoot the three and also put the ball on the floor opened opportunities for herself and her teammates. Her mix of grit, effort, and skill made her a tone-setter for Bolles.
