Deeper Dive: Class 1A Region 3 Player Evaluations

Hyatt has a quick release and keeps the ball high upon the catch so defenders can not block it. With her jumper, she also has a trait that many high school three-point shooters lack. That being the willingness to shoot. If Hyatt has any sort of space, she will not hesitate to let one fly. She does a great job at positioning herself for rebounds and does a great job at grabbing the ball near its highest point off the ricochet.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">Mills on the offensive end she can score in a multitude of ways in the paint. She also has no issue scoring through traffic and contact. She showed both her rebounding and paint scoring promise against Moore County High School last season. The combination of the two makes her a great inside scoring threat, and also allows her to constantly create space. With this created space, she has the capability of knocking down threes from anywhere on the floor and has a quick trigger to hit them when this space opens up. Netherton, also, when it comes to her three point shot, can score off of catch-and-shoot actions. She is aggressive but under control in grabbing these second-chance opportunities for her offense. Harr is also a great low-post scorer. One of those is her ability to step out and defend wings and guards. In this versatility, her ability to read passing lanes shines. The IQ she has in passing lanes often results in forcing turnovers . She had multiple games last season with two or more steals.
