The Prep Girls Hoops Illinois Expo brought together a strong mix of juniors and seniors from across the state, giving players another opportunity to compete and be seen. With prospects capable of playing at multiple college levels, the talent in the gym stood out throughout the day. Here's the recap on Team 1.

[player_tooltip player_id='743596' first='Destiny' last='Sacluti'] - Easily one of the fastest players in the gym. Destiny gets to where she needs to with no issue. Hell of a playmaker as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='901862' first='MJ' last='Howard'] - Crafty is the first word that comes to mind when watching MJ play. She has a strong handle and knows how to contort her body to get to where she needs.

[player_tooltip player_id='974154' first='Ashlyn' last='Peterson'] - Regardless of the size, Peterson plays twice that. She has a strong handle match with a good understanding of pace. She's aggressive on the drive and makes her known on the boards, too.

[player_tooltip player_id='1225728' first='Aliyah' last='Cooks'] - Aggressive on the drive, and shows no quit in the way she approaches each possession. On both sides of the ball, she's giving 100% effort

[player_tooltip player_id='732435' first='Gabrielle' last='Gavin'] - Hands down one of the best players in the gym today. Gavin has continued to grow her skillset since getting to high school, and you can tell that the confidence is at an all time high.

[player_tooltip player_id='1234683' first='Sadie' last='Van Horn'] - Sadie plays the game bigger than she is listed, and it's evident on the defensive side. One of those players who can be helpful in rotations, and can hold her own if she's defending by herself.

[player_tooltip player_id='879016' first='Selah' last='Backeberg'] - Long and lengthy, and can cover ground in a short number of steps. On both ends, she found ways to implement herself in the possession.

[player_tooltip player_id='716819' first='Isabella' last='Koldoff'] - Koldoff has so much talent that I'm not sure she realizes how much she can actually impact the game. Her ability to be a playmaker, then to a scorer, and quickly to an off-ball threat was amazing to see. The upside is there.
