<p>On Sunday, players from across Florida gathered at Seminole Sports Academy for a four-hour showcase, putting their skills on display against top peers in the 2026 and 2027 classes. The event provided an exciting opportunity for upperclassmen to compete within their own group and gauge where they stand among the state's best. College coaches were on hand to offer direct instruction and feedback, adding valuable insight to the experience. Below are evaluations of one of the teams I had the opportunity to scout:</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Ameera was unquestionably one of the top performers in the gym on Sunday, standing out regardless of class. She played with relentless effort throughout camp, combining physicality and skill in a way few opponents could match. Her three-level scoring ability was elite. Koné knocked down deep shots with a smooth stepback, elevated confidently on her pull-up, and powered through contact at the rim. Ameera also showcased her creativity with acrobatic finishes, a deceptive shot fake that consistently fooled defenders, and strong closeout technique on the defensive end.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Jayda has impressive size and versatility for the 2026 class. She showed she can handle the ball in transition or score efficiently around the rim. Her strong footwork, highlighted by a smooth step-through move, allowed her to finish through contact with confidence. On the defensive end, Jayda's length and timing make her a real presence in the paint where she consistently blocks and alters shots. With her combination of skill, strength, and two-way impact, she continues to stand out as a promising all-around talent.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Sarah made her presence felt at the showcase with her effort and finishing ability around the basket. She showed great instincts on the offensive glass when securing rebounds and capitalizing with quick putbacks. In addition to her work inside, Sarah demonstrated a soft touch with a smooth runner in the lane which gave her an effective scoring option when attacking off the bounce. Her active hands on defense, energy, and knack for finding scoring opportunities stood out throughout the event.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Alyse always impresses with her length, athleticism, and relentless energy on the boards. The lefty forward has a unique versatility to her game, using her reach and timing to control rebounds and extend possessions. Although a finger injury limited her early in camp, she still showed flashes of the high-level potential that places her among the top prospects in her class in Florida. Her blend of toughness, skill, and upside should make her a key player to watch this season as a returning state champion.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">María showcased impressive poise and command by setting the tone for her team by controlling the pace and getting the offense organized in the half-court. Her shiftiness with the ball and smooth handle allowed her to create space which was highlighted by a crafty spin move into a confident 15-foot jumper. In addition to her mid-range touch, María also proved she can score it from anywhere with a reliable three-point shot which makes her a versatile scoring threat. Her composure and skill set make her a key floor general with upside.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Skii did an excellent job controlling the glass and often turned defensive rebounds into transition opportunities by pushing the ball up the floor herself. She showed confidence and poise when handling the ball by getting downhill with purpose and maintaining strong control through traffic. On her drives to the rim, Skii protected the ball well and finished with balance and composure. Her ability to rebound, initiate the break, and attack the paint makes her a valuable two-way presence.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Alenna impressed with her high motor and court awareness by consistently running the floor hard and making herself available in scoring positions. She showed good touch around the rim and used the glass effectively on mid-range attempts when the angles were right. On the defensive end, Alenna brought steady effort and intensity by battling for rebounds and competing on every possession. Her hustle and attention to detail make her a reliable contributor on both ends of the floor.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Nyonna stood out as a dynamic guard with strong ball-handling skills and excellent quickness. She handled the rock with confidence by creating space for herself and setting up teammates. Her speed and agility allowed her to make an impact on both ends of the floor by pushing the pace offensively and staying active defensively to disrupt opposing guards. </p>
