The Expo: Team 6 Overview

On Sunday, players from across Florida gathered at Seminole Sports Academy for a four-hour showcase by putting their skills on display against top peers in the 2026 and 2027 classes. The event provided an exciting opportunity for upperclassmen to compete within their own age groups and gauge where they stand among the state's best. College coaches were on hand to offer direct instruction and feedback, adding valuable insight to the experience. Below are evaluations of one of the teams I had the opportunity to scout:    Gianna stood out at Sunday's showcase with her exceptional feel for the game and sharp court vision. She kept defenders guessing with well-timed eye, head, and pass fakes that created easy opportunities for teammates. Her smooth handles and quick change of direction allowed her to navigate pressure with poise and control. On the defensive end, Gianna brought relentless energy by proving to be a constant pest who disrupted passing lanes and applied steady on-ball pressure.     Nylah had a big weekend highlighted by earning an offer from Nova Southeastern University before an impressive showing at the showcase. She consistently excelled at getting downhill off the dribble by using her speed and control to attack the rim with confidence. Nylah ran the floor hard in transition and finished strong through contact, showing both athleticism and determination. Beyond her production, she stood out for her coachability and positive presence by proving to be a dependable teammate who elevated the game of those around her.     Lorena showcased an impressive blend of size, strength, and skill that made her one of the more versatile players on the floor. She consistently stretched the defense with her shooting ability while knocking down shots with confidence and forcing opponents to guard her beyond the arc. Around the rim, Lorena demonstrated great touch and balance by finishing effectively with either hand through traffic. Her combination of perimeter range and interior presence makes her a difficult matchup and a valuable all-around contributor.     Ava displayed outstanding poise and skill throughout the showcase and stood out as a true floor general with deep shooting range and confident ball control. She showed unlimited range from beyond the arc when knocking down shots effortlessly while keeping defenders honest. With the ball in her hands, Ava controlled the tempo of the game and showcased excellent court vision by delivering precise passes with great touch in transition. Her ability to score from distance while facilitating for others makes her a dynamic and reliable playmaker.     Kareena turned heads at the showcase with her smooth left-handed stroke and consistent effort on both ends of the floor. She showed confidence shooting from long range by spacing the floor and taking good perimeter looks when they were there. Her strong motor and relentless hustle helped keep possessions alive when chasing down loose balls or battling for offensive rebounds. As she steps into a larger leadership role this high school season, Kareena's work ethic and poise should set the tone for her team's success.     Sienna impressed at the showcase with her versatile scoring ability and relentless effort on the glass. She showed great touch hitting runners in the lane and confidence knocking down shots from long range by keeping defenders on their heels. Her willingness to crash the boards paid off as she frequently followed her team's misses for putbacks and second-chance points. With her skill set and production, Sienna is poised to be a definite riser in the next rankings update.     Ashantii showed off her natural length and strong rebounding ability by consistently helping her team secure crucial boards on both ends of the floor. She also showed she can stretch the defense with her shooting when needed and she consistenly made strong cuts through the lane. Beyond her on-court skills, Ashantii stood out as a great teammate with a positive attitude and unselfish play that elevated those around her.
