1 - Shiloh Christian

I really like this Skyhawks team. Coach Seifert is looking for his team to utilize its speed and athleticism to win a lot of games in 25-26. They have a ton of players returning with varsity experience. Leading the way are All-Region selections Sophia Heringer and [player_tooltip player_id='1051232' first='Macie' last='Thompson']. Sophia is one of the best scorers in Region 4 and is close to eclipsing 1000 career points. I expect Macie to average double-figures in scoring this season as well. Shiloh Christian also has some girls with good height on their squad. Harper Wrigley is 6'1 and Katie Hammeren is 6'. These two should help make this team hard to rebound against. [player_tooltip player_id='1051230' first='Layla' last='Thompson'] is a sophomore who was very active on the defensive end, recording 78 steals. Senior Makowa Packineau is their leading returning 3-point shooter. The Skyhawks will need to improve their outside shooting but should have enough firepower to win the league.

2 - Hazen

Coach Patty Mossett has this team going in the right direction. They had their best region finish last season in about a decade, finishing second. She is hoping her team can lean on that experience and success and translate it into wins this season. This Bison team will be a smaller squad, but is an athletic group. They will need to rebound by committee and use their quickness to force turnovers for easy scoring opportunities. Hazen returns two All-Region players in juniors [player_tooltip player_id='1052973' first='Macey' last='Van Inwagen'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1051389' first='Lauren' last='Doll']. Both girls averaged double-figures scoring last season and will be locks for the All-Region team this season again. Ava Jungers and Miranda Mosset are two quality players that could find themselves in expanded roles this season. Sophomore Brielle Suelzle is their tallest player at 5'11, so look for her to get some time this season to help in the rebounding department.

3 - Dickinson Trinity

The Dickinson Trinity Titans are a solid squad that is going to compete night in and night out. This team is going to look a lot different than last season's state tournament qualifying team due to the graduation of three All-Region players. The hope is that the returning players with varsity experience competed every day at practice against the older girls and are now ready for their turn to show out. Dickinson Trinity does return one All-Region and All-State selection in [player_tooltip player_id='412033' first='Annabel' last='Scheeler']. She is an excellent point guard who makes great decisions. She can score in bunches, shoot it from deep, and plays great defense. She will be the key piece for the TItans this season. Sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='1226091' first='Kambree' last='Fleck'] is their second leading returning scorer and will be asked to improve her numbers this season. There are a lot of wild-card players with this squad that are eager to emerge as contributors. Seniors Madi Wegleitner, [player_tooltip player_id='1052990' first='Hali' last='Henke'], [player_tooltip player_id='1052993' first='Myah' last='Merry'], and Elizabeth Shneider are girls who will be in the mix. Look for Juniors [player_tooltip player_id='1052994' first='Calli' last='Berger'], Mikayla Schwindt, and Jordan Tessier to compete for roles on this Titan team.
