Guards Making the Impact from the Onset

Across the State, guard play has already taken center stage. From seasoned veterans, two-way engines, explosive scorers and poised young floor generals, this group has embraced the new season and carried the point guard mentality into the first week of real action. From the opening tip, these are the guards who stepped up, changed momentum, and delivered in the clutch- in the beginning of the new 2025-2026 campaign. She plays with a relentless motor and is a very reliable playmaker when on the floor. Sibley pushes the ball with purpose, makes instinctive plays in transition, and can attack the basket with purpose and usually with flair. Defensively, she disrupts actions, attacks passing lanes, and fuels her team's transition game. During the final week of the preseason, Sibley led her team to a victory over one of the top teams in the State (Cardinal Mooney). To Sibley and company, that was expectd as NFEI also made to the State finals last season. The young guard is a catalyst for her team - she is a scorer, playmaker, and competitor, and she has set the stage for an exciting 2025-2026 campaign. Hall executed the offense and scored against some very tough defense. Thats what we are use to. The Junior guard has already established herself as one of the top guards in the entire state of Florida. She can shoot with the best of them - three pointers, midrange shots, and finishes at the rim. Hall handles the ball all game long with confidence and does a great job of decision making. Her leadership on the floor is coach-like " and her feel for the game is advanced. Hall is a high-IQ player who elevates everyone around her and has the ability to take over when she needs to. She has been that way since the onset - not just this year but from the moment she stepped on a high school basketball court.     [player_tooltip player_id='823463' first='Presley' last='Norman'] has been one of the most reliable perimeter shooters early on. When she has space, she makes defenses pay—her three-point stroke carried straight from the preseason into week one. She reads closeouts well, finds pockets along the arc, and has added the willingness to put the ball on the floor when defenders speed out. Her shooting reputation has led to teams game planning to stop her, and that makes her a dangerous player who can impact a game from just being on the floor.     [player_tooltip player_id='1379351' first='Raquel' last='Fernandez'] made it clear from the onset that she was a viable two-way guard: ball-handling ability , ball movement, perimeter shooting, and the ability to defend at a high level. Early on she caught everyone's attention with the sharp cuts to the rim, staying engaged off the ball, and the ability to shoot the three What truly elevated her status were her two late-game steals and finishes—first a clutch steal and pressure-filled layup with the left that swung the momentum, then another steal and composed right-hand finish with defenders closing. Her competitive edge and willingness to step into pressure situations showed she is one of Creekside's most trusted guards - and productive as well.       [player_tooltip player_id='514522' first='Morgan' last='Cremen'] started the preseason in monster mode, and her aggressive scoring mentality has only intensified. She used her elite speed, open-floor burst, and tenacious defense to score the ball. Cremen's game thrives on pace and pressure. Few guards cover ground faster—once she forces a turnover or secures a rebound, it becomes a sprint she almost always wins. In preseason, Cremen averaged over 27 points in the final week of the preseason, dominating with her scoring, energy, and relentless attacking mindset. Cremen truly does it all—creating, defending, and scoring at a level that puts her among the most talented and dangerous guards in the State.     [player_tooltip player_id='1313764' first='Nyla' last='Parsons'] is emerging as one of the most exciting and competitive guards on the First Coast. Parson makes difficult plays look exciting. She received an errant pass and the athleticism it took to save the ball brought the house down on the opponent's home court. She plays full speed, handles pressure with maturity, and gets downhill with one purpose - to put the ball in the basket. For a sophomore, Parson's blend of athleticsm , aggressiveness, and confidence stands out. Just starting the season, the young guard is getting the attention of a lot opposing teams on the schedule.       [player_tooltip player_id='1379557' first='Brinkley' last='Todd']'s early-season play has been defined by reliability, skill, poise, and energy. The young guard is dynamic with the ball in her hand and has the ability to maneuver all over the court and get where she wants to. Todd has a fluid jumper from behind the arc and can also rip to the midrange and can attack open gaps and get into the paint. Her activity in passing lanes and ability to lead the break and dish the rock makes her a dangerous guard on the floor. Todd is a playmaker and game changer and one of the top young point guards on the First Coast.
