The state of girls basketball, in Wisconsin, is looking stronger than ever! Here are some of the best performances in the Junior and Senior classes from opening week:

Alyson Henschel---Alyson's opening two game stat line popped out at me for obvious reasons. 55 points, 11 rebounds, 7 assists, and 23 STEALS! Last season the 5-6 junior, from Wild Rose, averaged 12.4 points and an impressive 3.8 steals per game and is well on the way to shattering that total and possibly state records if she can keep that pace up.

AJ Minar---The 5-8 senior had a strong first week posting 22 points and 13 rebounds on opening night and following that up with a 16 point 15 rebound performance in a loss to Wilmot Union. Minar, coming off of a 15 and 10 junior season will be leaned on heavily to help the Pacers improve on their three win season in 2025.

Last year she averaged 17.2 points and 10.1 rebounds in leading the Blugolds to a close Sectional final loss to Cuba City. She started her senior season with 1,541 career points and should push for 2,000 by March.
