PD Scrimmage: Key Roster Pieces for Concord Academy

There were 28 teams participating from North Carolina and surrounding regions. There was also over fifty college coaches in attendance. Ava does not mind doing the dirty work on defense and guarding the best player if duty calls. She is continuing to find her niche on the offensive end as a shooter. The more she is put in this role her confidence will continue to grow. She has a nice shot beyond the arc and needs to be ready to step in and pull the trigger. A left-handed point guard that is always looking to find the open person and get the ball into play makers hands. She does a good job of dishing out assist by finding her open guards or making bounce passes into the post. She has 3 pt capability if the defenders sag off. She has great length on the perimeter to go with excellent ball handling, passing and shooting ability on the offensive end. She can make transition moves in the open court and slash through the defenders to make buckets and strong enough to finish through contact. Justice can stretch the floor by knocking down the triple. The other thing she does well is post up smaller defenders. She has step through and spin moves to go along with good footwork in the paint. She is a true post that plays with a lot of physicality. She posts up hard on the block and demands the ball. Powell has a variety of back to the basket moves. She is a force on the glass and will score many points on put backs this season. Victorian has all of the physical attributes to be a dominating force in the paint. She can touch the rim and excellent leaping ability. One of her biggest attributes right now is rebounding. She could have double digit rebounds every game if that is one of her focal points.
