PD Super Scrimmage: Upper Classmen from Providence Day School

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Providence Day School in Charlotte, North Carolina hosted their 18th Annual Super Scrimmage on Saturday, November 1st, 2025. There were 28 teams participating from North Carolina and surrounding regions. There was also close to twenty college coaches in attendance. Dumont displays a ton of confidence, swagger and leadership on the court. She has great size at the PG position which allows her to be an excellent play maker with her ability to "thread the needle" with her passing. Her skill set in that category is off the charts. She is also very strong getting to the rim with contact. She makes good decisions when to pass and when to keep the ball to score. Often leads the break with a "long ball" pass to open teammates for easy transition points. She can get downhill with ease and finish at the rim. Also, has a mid-range game that is unstoppable. Layla will add depth to the guard position and has the ability to knock down open shots. This will be key as defenses are going to have to put a lot of focus on teammates Dumont and McClure at the guard positions. Layla is a hard worker on defense and this will be a big emphasis for Coach Josh Springer this upcoming season. She has gotten a lot more comfortable handling the ball against pressure defense. Katleyn takes pride in her defense and keeping her defender in front of her. She also will crash the boards hard and make hustle plays on both sides of the ball. She can cause problems defensively in the paint with her ability to alter shots. She continues to improve with her back to basket moves to become more efficient. O'Malley has ability to step out in certain situations and knock down a three.
