Test at West- Ready for the Next Level

The talent was solid at Lakota West last weekend for the Test at West event. Several players are ready for the next level, some of them are big scores, others, incredible floor leaders, and all of them have that desire to succeed. Here are some who I expect to continue to have a great high school career and either head into college next year with the ability to contribute, or when they do finish their high school career, they should be ready to go.    Strong and physical kid who has verballed to Marshall. Strong hands, able to maneuver her way into the paint and score at the rim. Also showed the ability to hurt you from the free throw line as she can play through the physical play and get chances at the line. Keeps getting better.     Impressive player with a lot of upside in front of her. She will be playing her college ball at Wright State and should provide instant offense. Can light it up from behind the arc, deep shooter and can get the shot off quickly. Athletic defender with the knack to anticipate the game well. Her best years are ahead of her.     Milee is a fine-tuned machine out there, and the Dayton signee can take a game over at any time. She sees the floor well and pushes tempo, finding the open player. Can knock down the three, elevates well and has a quick release making her tough to defend. She is every athletic with a frame that allows her to battle in a physical game. And as she tends to do, she knocks down the clutch shots, hitting one at the half.     One thing I really like about Katie is her ability to play the game poised all the time. Even after a turnover, she forgets about it and come back to make a big play. Did not score a single point in this game, yet she was very effective running the show that that's what makes her next level kid!     Every time she steps on the floor, it seems she just keeps getting better. A year older means a year of experience that she uses to control things on the floor. She is no longer a secret in the region after a great freshman season, and she is still difficult to defend. College coaches... you only have to wait a couple more years to add her to your arsenal.     What a career so far for the young baller! She had duplicate stat lines on opening weekend, two games each she had 14 and 7 in each game. She is an aggressive guard with a physical mindset where she can handle that style of game. Also does her damage around the rim, tough to stop.
