Over the last few seasons, I've checked in on a few newcomers making an impression in the early portions of the season, and today, we are keeping up with the class of 2029. There will be players over the next three-plus seasons who find their way, even if they don't have a role to play right now, such as those playing JV basketball, who are injured, or for any other reason. That being said, let's look at some intriguing newcomers in the 2029 class.

[player_tooltip player_id='1241412' first='Gemma' last='Gardow']

The Regis guard has had an excellent start to her first high school season. Gardow is a player who can play on or off the ball and find ways to impact winning on either end of the floor. However, due to the talent the Ramblers have in the backcourt, Gardow has done most of her work away from the ball and made her own luck offensively. She's run the floor well in their transition offense, and her movement off the ball in half-court sets has helped her get free to knock down perimeter shots.

[player_tooltip player_id='1225521' first='Kennedy' last='Konkol']

The Wisconsin Rapids guard has been a needed addition for a Lincoln team that has been building their program over the past few seasons. Konkol has been a reliable part of what her team has done on both ends of the court. She has knocked down shots from beyond the three-point line and been an integral part of their defense when they want to pressure opposing ball handlers.

[player_tooltip player_id='939071' first='Tate' last='Huppert']

The Ellsworth guard is a reliable off-ball player who can space the floor and knock down shots from beyond the three-point line. I also like the effort she brings to the floor and her intelligence on the floor. She fills the lane well in transition and finds ways to make her teammates' lives easier. I also appreciate the confidence she brings to the floor and her willingness to take high-pressure shots without hesitating later in the second half of games.

[player_tooltip player_id='1236090' first='Elly' last='Gardner']

The Columbus Catholic guard is a talented player who played up an age level in EYBL and had her moments in that league. I've tuned into a handful of her team's early-season games, and Gardner has looked impressive in her first few high school games. She has an excellent hop step that can help her get into the lane against zones and finish in the middle of the paint.
