Today, I'll be making a three-hour drive up to Clark County to see an undefeated Neillsville team welcome in an undefeated Owen-Withee group. However, before I head out, I'd like to have a few articles posted about underrated players I've seen so far in the 2025-26 season in games I've attended. There are countless players I've liked in the 26 games I've attended thus far, but let's talk about a few of them before I start my drive up to Central Wisconsin.

Macy Bruggink

The Oostburg Lady Dutch have played like a top-five team in the state in the early portion of the season, and Bruggink has played a crucial role for her team. She is a skilled defender who can use her physicality to keep quicker guards in front of her and prevent them from entering the paint. Bruggink is also a more confident perimeter shooter than I remember her being a year ago, and she will help space the floor in any lineup she plays in for the rest of her basketball career.

[player_tooltip player_id='855854' first='Morgan' last='Martinez']

The Wisconsin Lutheran wing/forward comes off the bench for a Vikings team looking to earn a conference championship in the Woodland-West, and potentially make a deep run in the postseason this year. Martinez is an energetic kid who comes into the game and flies around the floor defensively. She is also a player who rebounds the ball at a high level. Martinez has a nose for the ball and will have a role to play for an uber-talented Vikings group.

Gia Peterson

The Brookfield Academy sophomore is an intriguing talent who stood out to me when I watched her play last night against Catholic Central. The left-handed forward is a skilled post player and finishes through contact around the basket. Peterson is a player with the potential to be a kid who can take her talents to the college level and make an impact somewhere at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='751255' first='Delaney' last='Rauch']

The Port Washington wing made a killing in the game I attended by making quick decisions to shoot or pass to her teammates, who made seven three-pointers in the game I watched. Rauch has the size and length that will jump out to anyone who watches her play. You won't find many players of her size who can score at all three levels, move the ball with a purpose, and guard multiple positions.
