The Prep Girls Hoops Michigan Player of the Week Award is given to one student-athlete who demonstrates excellence during a week of her team's competition. The winner contributes to her team's success in multiple statistical categories, which leads to team success on the court. Week one couldn't have been any more exciting. Highly ranked freshmen prospects stepped into the spotlight for the first time and dominated their competition. The girls who proved themselves all off-season showed out in week one as expected. Selecting one girl to recognize as Player of the Week was a true challenge, with many elite performances this week, but we wouldn't have it any other way. Several players made a strong case, but only one can be selected for Player of the Week. Those who had a dominant week worthy of consideration have been included in the article as Honorable Mention. Here are the girls who had an outstanding start to the season, and it's time to celebrate their accomplishments!
