We have just completed the third week of the girls' basketball season in Wisconsin, and we'll examine some players who have delivered solid performances over the first few weeks of games. There are plenty of players we'll highlight the rest of the season, but here are a few players who had impressive weeks of basketball to start the month of December.

The Madison area native helped lead Madison Country Day to a Regional Title in her first season of high school basketball. Gary has done an excellent job being the focal point of her team's offense and finding ways to put the ball in the basket while being the focus of every opposing team's scouting report. I also feel that she has improved at defending away from the ball and reading what offenses are doing, based on what she showed last season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1278345' first='Quinn' last='Schenkenberg']

The Shell Lake forward has the tools to be the most impactful post player in small-school basketball. Schenkenberg keeps things simple, and as a physical 6'2 post presence, that will stand out to people the more they watch her play. She gets to her spots quickly and can exploit any team that doesn't have anyone to match her physically around the basket. The Northwest Wisconsin native has excellent touch around the basket and can play through contact and finish through that contact.

[player_tooltip player_id='509692' first='Brooklyn' last='Maves']

Maves has been a productive scoring guard over the past few seasons at Evansville. The Blue Devils' guard is a confident player who can create space off the dribble and score from the perimeter in volume when she finds her groove. She competes every second she's on the floor, and effort will never be a concern for her once she gets to the next level. Maves could be an impactful pick-up for a regional program looking for a guard.

[player_tooltip player_id='1039264' first='Taylor' last='Klingbeil']

The Medford wing is one of the more intriguing 2027 prospects for schools to watch. She is a 5'10ish player who can handle the ball at the point of attack, space the floor, put pressure on the basket, and use her length to finish over the top of defenders around the basket. The Raider has been an integral part of their success over the past two seasons, and will be a player who coaches at the next level will have some interest in as they learn about who she is as a player.
