Wilsonville Hosts Hidden Gems in Competitive Jamboree

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This past Wednesday evening, Wilsonville High School hosted a competitive jamboree and jump-started pre-season hoops for some heavy hitters. Benson, South Salem, Wilsonville, and Roosevelt all brought their JV and Varsity teams to compete. The games consisted of 8 minutes of play, which encouraged a very fast-paced showcase. Benson took 1st place for the varsity, and both South Salem and Benson finished strong in the JV division. All competitors came excited and ready for hoop season to begin. She is a great floor leader for her team and has great court vision as the point guard. <br>Also a track star, Nevaeh is super quick up and down the floor. She can blow by defenders and also can lock up opponents quickly and aggressively. <br>Her passion for the game carries her competitive drive and spirit. She plays with a lot of heart and determination. All great qualities to bring to her Roosevelt team as she finishes out her high school career. Talented enough that she made varsity to start her high school career in basketball. She is also helping out JV and putting in extra time and effort to polish her craft. <br>Sa'reiylle is a very smart player and has great court vision. She attacks the hoop aggressively and can draw fouls on her opponents well. <br>She's a tenacious defender, and in the jamboree, she blocked a pass so hard you could hear it across the gym. It got the crowd and her team on the bench up on their feet. She is a sophomore and brings strong talent and experience to her JV team. She's great at grabbing rebounds and has a good shot. With her long wingspan, she can defend well and block shots with ease. She is a combo guard but can also play at the small forward level with her height. I have scouted Carolina since summer ball, and she improves every time she takes the court. She is aggressive on offense and has long, quick strides that get her to the basket faster than her opponents. She's great at drawing fouls and getting to the free-throw line.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">She's great at grabbing rebounds because of her long wingspan. She's a sharp shooter and has a scoring mentality. When she gets on the floor, she's always hungry to compete and wants to win. She plays with a lot of courage. Her defensive skills are strong, and she's great at locking up her opponents by pressing and trapping. My advice to college scouts is to stop sleeping on this hidden gem.
