Class 1A Leading Scorers

The 1A class is filled with elite scorers who get it done in completely different ways. Some dominate from beyond the arc, others attack the rim with power and speed, and a few control the game with craft and footwork in the mid range. Despite their different styles, they all share one thing in common: they consistently put the ball in the basket and lead their teams with confidence. This group of top scorers is redefining what offensive impact looks like in 1A and proving there is more than one way to light up the scoreboard.    [player_tooltip player_id='708143' first='Kendall' last='Proffitt'] is not only one of the top scorers in 1A and in her class, but also in the entire state, averaging 28.8 PPG while shooting 52% from the field and 47% from three-point range. She has made 100 three-pointers this season, ranking 11th in the nation. As only a sophomore, Kendall is proving she is one of the best shooters in the country.   At 6 feet tall, her ability to get her shot off quickly fits today's style of play perfectly. Expect Proffitt to have a big travel season as she showcases her talent against some of the best competition in the nation.     [player_tooltip player_id='1232410' first='Arianah' last='Wallace'] uses her athleticism and quick first step to attack the rim and has the ability to finish through contact, scoring off two feet around the basket. She is also strong on the defensive end, consistently turning defense into offense.   Her work ethic and production have led to a season in which she is nearly averaging a triple-double: 26.7 PPG, 12.8 rebounds per game, and 9.0 steals per game. She shows that there are many ways to lead a team in scoring, relying heavily on her ability to slash and convert points off steals. Not many players can say their best game of the season was a 40 point performance that also included 14 steals.     [player_tooltip player_id='1538218' first='Magdalynn' last='Higgins'] has one of the best shooting forms I've seen. She shoots the ball the same way every time, holds her follow through, and keeps her eyes on the rim, especially on catch and shoot opportunities. She has a quick release and shows strong footwork coming off screens to get into her shot.   This has led to her averaging 19.8 PPG this season, with at least seven games scoring 20 or more points and at least 10 games with three or more made three pointers. Higgins has a high ceiling and can continue this trend as one of the top scorers in Class 1A, in her class overall, and in her area.     [player_tooltip player_id='1688728' first='Bryse' last='Burkett'] (Cover Photo) is one of the best eighth graders in the state, and there are many very talented players in the Class of 2030. Bryse plays with a pace and level of control beyond her years, with the ability to finish with either hand around the rim and score off two feet from both her left and right sides. She also has a smooth jump shot that doesn't require much space; her shooting and forward landing create great rotation on the ball.   Burkett plays with confidence and swagger that translate well on the floor. She is averaging 26.6 PPG, with two 40 point games, both of which included eight made three pointers. This eighth grader is one of the leading scorers in the state and a focal point on every scouting report of the teams she faces.     [player_tooltip player_id='748839' first='Mia' last='Milanes'] is having a great senior year, playing a physical, aggressive style of basketball and outworking her opponents on every possession. She earns extra rebounds, finishes through contact, and has become a 1,000 point scorer this season. With her athleticism and strong footwork, she has been a dominant force against her matchups.   Milanes is averaging 18 PPG while shooting 45% from the field and adding 7.2 rebounds per game. She scored 40 points on her senior night, reaching her 1,000th career point while firing on all cylinders this season.
