Later tonight, I will head over to Whitefish Bay to watch the Blue Dukes lock horns with North Shore Conference foe Hartford in a matchup that will give the winner the edge to potentially win an outright conference title this coming season. Before I head out, I'd like to discuss a handful of players who have had solid seasons and highlight some of them before I leave this evening.

Argyl/Pecatonica is the engine of one of the premier programs in Division 5 this season. The 5'11 wing/forward has the athletic tools to use her length in her team's press and make plays on the ball or force mistakes from opposing guards in their own backcourt. Wellnitz has always been a productive rebounder and defender at the small-school level, and she has contributed to competitive programs over the past few years, helping her team reach the D5 state tournament in 2024.

[player_tooltip player_id='874552' first='Ady' last='Christian']

The Mayville guard has been an excellent addition to the Cardinals' program, looking to rebuild. Christian is a player capable of playing a high-usage role and being an integral part of her team's defensive setup, and the motor to make plays either on or off the ball defensively. She is a newcomer who has made an impact on her program and has the potential to take the Cardinals to the next level over the next few seasons.

[player_tooltip player_id='879591' first='Lauren' last='Vosters']

Little Chute has been towards the bottom of the Northeast Conference over the past few seasons, and has been off the pace of the top teams in the conference. However, with young players like Vosters, there is hope that the Mustangs could turn a corner over the next few seasons. Vosters has excelled in her first season of high school basketball on both ends of the court. Her ability to shoot will always space the floor, and she has the knack of forcing live-ball turnovers.

[player_tooltip player_id='1234631' first='Crimson' last='Hansen']

The Mauston native is an intriguing prospect who can do a little of everything on both ends of the court. Hansen is a player who can use her speed to beat defenders off the dribble. Her shot is solid enough to punish defenders for allowing her space, and she can move the ball well offensively, getting her teammates the ball in positions to score. As she gains more experience and learns how to use her athletic tools, she could be one of the more intriguing defensive prospects in the state.
