Tonight, I'll make my way west down I-94 towards Madison and watch a non-conference matchup between the hosts, Johnson Creek, and Dodgeland. Before I head west, I'd like to continue discussing some players to watch for the rest of the season and discuss what they can bring to their respective programs as we pass the halfway point of the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1264437' first='Kinley' last='Peterson']

Peterson arrived at the high school level at Fox Valley Lutheran and became one of the most indispensable players in their program. Peterson is already one of the best volume perimeter shooters, and she is in her second semester of high school at the time of this article. The lefty has been one of the more confident shooters in the Fox Valley, and already moves at a high level away from the ball to earn opportunities to shoot the ball on the catch. I'd be stunned if Peterson wasn't a household name in terms of perimeter shooting soon, if she isn't already.

Alia Hamus

The Colby native is a talented spot shooter who can excel whenever defenses play a zone against her team. Hamus does an excellent job of getting her feet set before she catches the ball, which allows her to get her shot up as quickly as possible. Any time defenses don't pick her up in transition, she is a threat to knock down a perimeter jumper, and she can make five or more in a game whenever she steps on the floor.

Katie Matthys

The Spring Valley wing is a skilled perimeter shooter whose shot looks the same every time she lets it fly, regardless of the contest. Matthys excels as a shooter in the corners in particular, and her ability to shoot opens up the lane for her guards who want to get downhill and make plays around the basket. Her defender has to decide to help on drives and allow Matthys open looks, or stay attached on the perimeter, which can give teams headaches.

Zoey Siders

The Valders guard is a talented perimeter shooter who knocked down nine three-pointers in her game a few weeks ago against Appleton West. Siders is a player opposing defenses will know about well before the game when they receive their scouting report, and Siders still finds ways to knock down multiple shots from the perimeter and earn open looks. Siders is one of the better senior shooters in the state.
