Tonight and tomorrow, I will be in Northwest Wisconsin watching a pair of games between talented programs from large and small schools in the area. Before I make the drive up there, I'd like to highlight a handful of players in my pair of articles this morning. Let's talk about some players who are having impressive seasons to this point as we start the second half of the season.

The Milwaukee Academy of Science wing/guard has always been an intelligent defender who understood how to corral talented players since her first season of high school basketball. Guy has since developed her offensive game and become a more confident player on that end of the court. She is a threat from the perimeter and knocked down some crucial perimeter jumpers in her team's upset win over Division 2, the No. 1, Pius XI. She is a competitive player who can help her team win games at the highest level.

[player_tooltip player_id='1275677' first='Catherine' last='Williams']

The St. Croix Falls guard and multi-sport athlete is a talented player who can affect the game on both ends of the court. Williams is a talented defender who can generate live-ball turnovers at any time and has developed into a well-rounded threat in Northwest Wisconsin. She is a player who can play at the next level and contribute to a program once she graduates.

[player_tooltip player_id='764914' first='Finley' last='Morgan']

The Laconia guard has been an excellent offensive piece to a Laconia team that is trying to find its new identity after the class of 2025 graduated last Spring. Morgan has knocked down a bunch of perimeter jumpers and has been a player whom defenses must respect whenever she is on the floor. The junior has also proven she can handle the increased responsibility she has taken on this season, as her Spartan program endures one of the toughest non-conference schedules in Division 3 this winter.

[player_tooltip player_id='1219523' first='Avery' last='Richard']

The Platteville guard is one of the more intriguing guards in Wisconsin. The Southwest Wisconsin native is a physical player who can get downhill and finish through traffic. Richard has also been one of the more prominent creators in Wisconsin over the last few seasons, and this one has been no different. Her ability to attack off the dribble and exploit mismatches as a physical 5'10 guard is something that will help her excel at the high school level and earn opportunities to play at the next level if she chooses.
