I spent the last two days at the OAW Indoor Sports Complex in New Berlin, and numerous players stood out over the past few days. However, some internet issues prevented me from tweeting about everyone I would have liked. However, over the next few days, we'll look at a few players who I was impressed by over the weekend, and we'll start that tonight.

[player_tooltip player_id='751252' first='Carrington' last='Balthasar']

The [program_tooltip program_id='713043' first='Wisconsin' last='Impact'] group Balthasar has played on has routinely punched above its weight over the last few years, and this weekend was no different. Balthasar is a selfless kid who can move the ball and read the game well. She routinely makes the right play with the ball in her hands, and that leads to open shots for herself or her teammates. She may never be a player who consistently scores 25 points per game, but she makes winning plays every trip down the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='874372' first='Nyajuacni' last='Riak']

There isn't much Riak isn't capable of on the floor, and at any given moment, she can do something on the floor you've never seen before, and make it look like the easiest thing on the planet. Riak is a national talent and has all the tools to be a player we watch on screens for a long time. She's one of the most entertaining players to see in any gym she sets foot in.

[player_tooltip player_id='1823469' first='Madelynn' last='Place']

The Southwest Wisconsin native is a quick kid who can make some things happen with the ball in her hands. Place changes directions well and can give some defenders headaches when they try to keep her in front. She has the athletic tools that could help her draw some attention from regional programs and make an impact at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='874386' first='Maisie' last='Hinz']

The Notre Dame wing is a talented kid who makes the right play when she's on the floor and allows the game to come to her. Hinz doesn't force anything on the floor, and lets the defense dictate what she does with the ball, and makes the game as simple as it can be, which allows her to be an impactful player in different roles. She can play on the ball, off the ball, defend on the perimeter, and use her physicality to defend around the basket. She's a kid who has improved significantly over the past year. I love the versatility she brings to the floor.
