Most had another great showing for San Jose Prep, who is a completely different team (going 2-0 this weekend) with her running the show. Most is a pass-first point guard who held a masterclass in getting players the ball where they can score effectively . Lena has great vision and she gets the ball there with a quick flick of the wrist. She was very efficient scoring the ball as well. Most shot the ball very well from the perimeter and midrange. Lena is an active defender who created turnovers and scored on the break multiple times as well.

Cox proved once again she is one of the best guards in the state of North Carolina regardless of class. She has a lot of skill and plays with a lot of swagger for a kid her age. Cox plays the game with no fear of failure and a high level of confidence which often leads to her making plays that leave people shaking their heads. Cox uses ball handling combinations in games, against highly ranked players and teams without a second thought. She is an outstanding shooter off the bounce and in catch and shoot situations. Defensively, Cox creates a lot of turnovers jumping in the passing lanes and taking the ball from players she is guarding. She is a player with a very high ceiling who has ACC/SEC type potential.

Leah is one of the best shooters in the country which is well known and she looked great shooting the ball for her team as usual. I was most impressed with her confidence on the ball taking on defenders in isolation situations on offense. That playmaking ability is what separates DeWitt from almost every other player in her class. She beat defenders off the bounce several times in two games and had some very tough finishes at the basket that she was able to convert. She used her quickness just as well on defense where she was very active. DeWitt got steals on and off the ball and had one highlight reel block coming from the help side on a jumpsuit attempt. She has several Power Four offers for a reason.

Hodge put on a show offensively for Bearden that some onlookers jaws on the ground. Hodge finished with 39 points as she knocked made threes from almost every spot on the court and generated her own offense with steals and easy layups in transition. The Missouri signee does an incredible job using her handle to create just enough space to rise up over the defender and get her shot off. She was outstanding with the ball in pick and roll situations as well punishing the defender every time they chose to go under the screen by calmly squaring herself up to the basket and knocking down open threes. Hodge could be a dark horse contender for Freshman of the Year in the SEC next year.

Jae was as good a pure point guard as anyone I saw at She Got Game. From a former coach's perspective you can have all of the talent in the world on your roster, but someone has got to get the ball to the scorers and Smith did just that. She was in constant communication with her coach about what was going on the floor and what her coach wanted her to do. Smith scored from the midrange, free throw line, and three point range herself. Smith was a positive, vocal leader for her team as well. Tulane got a great player and I expect Jae to play early and often there.
